Atheists, Big Bangs, Creation - Not To Mention Primordial Soups.

I have always been fascinated by the response of atheists and their acolytes to the first five words in the Bible. "In the beginning, God created ..."
The auto response is always, "Who created God, then?"
They remain singularly unimpressed when I explain that "God is."
They feel that they have gained an edge in the debate if not an actual knockout victory.

Their problem is that in any beginning science may conjure up - there has always been something to start with. Even the 'nothing' which explodes in the putative 'big bang' must have a 'something' or 'someone' to create the elements necessary for an explosion to have taken place. The explosion itself is, of course, a 'something' for which believers can very reasonably demand to know its origins.

On that basis, the 'God explanation' is, at the very least, as satisfactory as theirs!
What is more, believers have the advantage of being very reasonably able to suggest God as the prime mover behind any starting point that scientists may elect to proffer.
