England Take Control On Day Two.

Well, England can surprise you. I wrote that I doubted that they could post a score of four hundred and back they come with 499 declared!

Stokes was as awesome as ever with his delicious century and Ollie Pope ground out his maiden test century. Terrific.
Dom Bess nipped in with a brace of wickets as the Proteas chased this enormous total.
Mark Wood bowled at phenomenal speeds on his return to the side. Few balls were under 90mph and he actually managed 94mph combined with great accuracy at all times.
The pitch actually got faster in the first part of yesterday - before slowing considerably - which allowed England to post the total that they did.
They now need 18 wickets over three days but will they have to bat a second time, in between? There is also a certain amount of rain forecast.

Perception?
