Interesting - but certainly not something to be used as 'a cop-out'.
More interesting, perhaps, was the very generous giver who explained to me that the 'tithe' is actually 2.5%. The reason for that is the nature of the taxes we pay. These cover the other 7.5%.
We must establish the principle that we should all give until it hurts. Doing that and maybe the whole 10% - or MORE - comes back into play.
Self explanatory title. I abhor that nicey nicey, politically correct, pseudo-Christianity which almost always supports leftwing attitudes - which in most cases are profoundly anti-Gospel.
