French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte have been criticised after it was revealed they has spent £540,709 on flowers during the coronavirus crisis in 2020. The French public was shocked that the presidential couple (pictured inset) spent so much on flowers at a time when the country is struggling to recover financially from the pandemic and during a year when there were few receptions at the Palace.
