Blogger: read this statement and be horrified by the inconsistencies. How can the school be succeeding across the board but be 'inadequate' in its leadership at the same time? - Insane.
When I was involved in leadership in a Christian School for over three decades. The HMIs were terrific; in the early days of Ofsted - so were the Ofsted inspectors.
As the years went by, they would come with an agenda which was clearly opposed to the principle of there being Christian Schools. The final time an Ofsted inspection was made - they sent a Moslem to check out a Christian School!
Not only was the man appalling to women staff - reducing several to tears; he would make accusations as to where the school 'was not doing a proper job in x, y or z' but then categorically refused to even look at the documentary evidence that disproved his thesis.
Our complaint was only partially upheld.
How come the Police cannot judge themselves but Ofsted apparently can?
I do hope these inspectors responsible for Ruth's death can still sleep at night.
