Strength and Courage.

ADF UK.
Dear All.,

Standing for what is right can sometimes feel lonely. Yet, this season leading up to Easter reminds us of a deeper truth: we are never alone.

In Deuteronomy 31:6, we are encouraged by these words: “Be strong and courageous… for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” This promise reminds us that even in moments when standing for truth feels isolating, God is present. He strengthens those who remain faithful and surrounds them with a community that stands alongside them.

This week, our advocate, Jeremiah, reflects on this passage in prayer and shares the story of our client, Pastor Dia Moodley. Pastor Dia has faced repeated censorship and discrimination from UK authorities for publicly sharing his faith on the streets of Bristol, England.

In November of last year, he was arrested by police on suspicion of “inciting religious hatred,” even though he had merely publicly shared his Christian views. This is the second time police have arrested him for his street preaching.

Pastor Dia was held in a police cell for eight hours before being released on bail conditions banning him from entering and preaching in the city over the Christmas period.

The bail conditions were dropped after he made representations to the police. Still, two police officers later visited his home in January, questioned him further on the November incident and invited him to a voluntary interview under caution.

He is now waiting to hear whether he will be criminally charged for his peaceful speech.

But Pastor Dia is not alone. ADF International is standing with him, providing support as he considers legal action against the police for violating his free speech rights.

Please keep Pastor Dia and the work of ADF International in your prayers.

And if you can, please consider supporting us with a gift. Your generosity enables us to defend people like Pastor Dia and advocate for fundamental freedoms around the world.

Our work would not be possible without your prayers and support. You are an integral part of our mission.

AIG.
