I tried UK's best fish and chips in pretty seaside town and can't wait to return. (AN ABSURD CLAIM!)

Blogger: no fish that has a tinge of yellow in its batter can ever be taken seriously by those in the know.
Call it healthier if you will but - shock/horror - yellow tinge generally indicates battered fish cooked in OIL!
Battered fish MUST be cooked in dripping.
The only colour permissible for true quality fish is GOLDEN BROWN!
It is perhaps ironic that the best fish and chips in Yorkshire are found in Rotherham and Doncaster in fish restaurants called WHITBYS.
In Whitby itself, my recommendation would be The Fisherman's Second Wife if you want the real thing. Other chippies in Whitby can also produce better than that seen in the photo.
NO. NO AND THRICE NO!
