Sacking a fireman for being overweight and not doing enough to remedy the situation is perfectly reasonable.One must ask however, in today's politically correct Fire Service, whether this would have happened if his skin colour had been different or if he had happened to be female.
Tragically, I think we all know the answer to that one!
