The Government-backed scheme tried to persuade teenage girls not to get pregnant by handing out condoms and teaching them about sex.
But research funded by the Department of Health shows that young women who attended the programme, at a cost of £2,500 each, were 'significantly' more likely to become pregnant than those on other youth programmes who were not given contraception and sex advice.'
This is the inevitable consequence of amoral teaching. We cannot be surprised at the outcome. The only thing that continues to amaze is that the liberal left who see almost every one of their social experiments crumble or at best, see them having to 'massage the stats' to achieve a modicum of respectability, are literally incapable of ever learning anything!
At Handsworth Christian School, where I teach Sex Education, to the best of our knowledge, there have been no pregnancies amongst our pupils over a 23 year period. Certainly, several have become pregnant at a later point but our record of putting sex into a moral, practical and Christian framework should clearly be a model for other schools.
