Lifetime council tenancies to end.

This is a toughie but unless you have about some twelve million dwellings available as social housing - which we do not have and never will - it is inevitable.

At one time in some cities they were family heirlooms!
There is no justifiable reason for ever giving permanent tenancies automatically although there are clearly cases where this would be reasonable.

Just a bit suspicious however, that these ideas are perhaps to make room for newly arrived immigrants who will have to take precedence over the local populations. If immigration is not controlled - and it isn't being ...
