BUT what about the existing pensioners who are left out in the cold? (Possibly literally!)
Why was the top sum not made lower so as to give a much better deal to today's pensioners by averaging the money out a bit?

Is it really fair?

If there is a reasoned and justice-based logic in this plan - I am yet to see it.
