What The Lib Dem Threat Really Means.

Democrats in name only.
From: Alan Carcas, Cornmill Lane, Liversedge. Yorkshire Post.
THE Constituency Boundaries Review is not about parcelling out the various constituencies between the political parties, although there is very often a benefit to either Labour or the Conservatives. This time it happens to be the Tories, previously it has been Labour.
Boundary revision is about making the electorate in each constituency reasonably equal, giving the electors fair representation, and each MP a fair and consistent work-load. So, in their threat to vote against the boundary change legislation, the basis for which has been on the statute book for over fifty years, in order to get revenge on the Tories who voted against the coalition’s ridiculous Lords Reform Bill, they are hitting the wrong target and penalising the electorate. So much for Lib Dem democracy!
Just because you have “democrat” in your party name clearly doesn’t mean you are one!
