Lib Dems and Democracy and Poetic Justice.

This Blog has pointed out before, that, when the Lib Dems held the balance of power in 2010, they were not true to themselves. They could have demanded PR - and Cameron would have had to yield or call a General Election. Instead - for fear of UKIP - they cravenly settled for a vote on the ridiculous AV+.
I trust that the irony of this cowardice was not lost on readers of this Blog. With a PR system in place similar to the one used in EU elections - they would probably have got four times the number of MPs. After so many years craving electoral reform - they fell at the first hurdle of self-interest - and oh how that failure backfired on them!
