First Catastrophes Did Not Happen.

On the day when a PM quits, you would expect a FTSE fall and the currency to tumble somewhat but yesterday, the £ only dropped about 3.5 cents against the Euro down to 1.23 which is no more than a typical fluctuation. At the end of the day, the FTSE stood at a higher point than it had been at many times over recent weeks!
Naturally, the initial fall was reported, almost with glee, by the Beeb - but if they made anything of the recovery later in the day - I did not hear it!
