It is no use a leading EU official describing Brexit as 'a minor squabble in the Conservative Party which will affect the whole continent' because that is rubbish - as he so well knows. But this, of course, is the nature of the EU beast. Smoke and mirrors.
Angela Merkel must shoulder the largest portion of blame because the EU borders question has been shown up as the disaster which will probably bring down the entire edifice.
I find it sad that it was on this issue alone that so many voted 'Out'. The corruption, the loss of sovereignty, the imperialism, the unbelievable expense, the subjugation of our legal system, the failing economic bloc were all excellent reasons to support Brexit.
'The Remain Campaign' has been disgraceful with its untruths and scaremongering and overweening arrogance.
Last night, I asked a brutally honest MEP if he could identify anything at all wrong with the 'Leave Campaign' - all he could find was the 'not factoring in of rebates' into the public message.
So. The other side lied, cheated and misled on pretty much everything. Add to this the vilification of, and mudslinging at, Brexiteers was horrendous. Ad hominem attacks were the order of the day!
