Nigel Is Right - Boris (Foolishly) Has Offered Nothing.

[Nigel's] comments come as the Prime Minister put an offer on the table for Nigel Farage, saying the Tories would stand “paper candidates” in 40 Labour-held seats to increase the Brexit Party’s chances to seize them from Jeremy Corbyn.
The plan would mean candidates standing in those constituencies would have limited resources behind them and campaigning would be kept to a minimum.
But Mr Farage slapped down the offer and refused to budge from his demand that the Tories stand down every candidates in those seats.
Mr Farage told The Daily Telegraph: “I would have stood down in lots of key marginals in return for a few on the other side. Express.
Blogger: Paper candidates would still have attracted enough Tory voters to stop the BP taking seats - and Boris knows that!
One can only think that Boris is hoping for the double whammy - winning the election very comfortably at the same time as ensuring that the BP is stopped in its tracks. I reckon that he is playing 'the long game'.
There is a risk to Brexit built into this if the voting goes in anyway awry.
Whilst Nigel was giving nothing much away (a predicted gain to the Tories of four seats) - he could have been pretty well assured of the taking of a handful of seats to nearly guarantee a Brexit had Boris cooperated in a sensible manner.
I hope that Boris's polling and reading of the election have both been as accurate as they need to be.
