For long periods of the day, it looked like England were not going to be able to find the eight wickets they desperately needed. Time was not on their side!
This was a bizarre dead pitch but one that was taking extravagant but, nonetheless, rather slow spin.
England won the hard way. They grafted their way to victory.
When the game seemed to be drifting towards a draw - up stepped the resident hero. Who else but Ben Stokes? His 3 for 35 included some devastating bowling as he extracted a little life from this dead track by sheer guts, skill and determination.
The England victory was by a margin of 189 runs and some 25 minutes to spare.
Phew!
Self explanatory title. I abhor that nicey nicey, politically correct, pseudo-Christianity which almost always supports leftwing attitudes - which in most cases are profoundly anti-Gospel. This Blog supports persecuted Christians. This Blog exposes cults. This Blog opposes junk science. UPDATED DAILY. This is not a forum. This Blog supports truly Christian websites and aids their efforts. It is hardhitting and unashamedly evangelical so if it offends - please do not come to this site!
