Every now and again ...

Every now and again, a little common sense breaks through and puts into sharp relief the madness which customarily surrounds and envelops us.

Wow!
As a former state school pupil, I would have been horrified to have been offered a place at Oxbridge at the expense of somebody better qualified, on the spurious grounds that they had not been educated in the state system.
