Social engineering causes far more problems than it solves because it ignores the claims of those with merit whilst favouring those who have perceived disadvantages.

A meritocracy is the only fair system - where you were born and raised is irrelevant.
Naturally, all of this is a direct consequence of the abolition of grammar schools!
