TWO key figures in a Romanian gypsy family that fraudulently claimed more than £800,000 in benefit handouts were yesterday ordered to pay back just £17.65. Grasping Ramona and Dorina Dumitru's "Con Air" gang jetted in and out of the UK on budget airlines to cheat taxpayers out of a fortune.
But a judge's ruling that they should pay back only £16.65 and £1 respectively sparked outrage last night — with the TaxPayers' Alliance describing the paltry sums as "insulting". (Sun.)
Still. Nice house they've got at our expense - isn't it?
