Higher Education Today.

Claims that we need a better educated workforce ergo, we must have huge numbers going to university are clearly fallacious.
(What use are tens of thousands of Media Studies students, anyway?)
Let us be brutally honest - this is one more device to conceal unemployment figures.
One example: What were the benefits to either banks or customers when they stopped employing bog standard clerks on a basis of five 'O' Levels and switched to demanding a degree for the lowest of jobs in the industry? - All you have done is delayed employment of the same person for five years and salaries do not reflect this.
