Third Test Humiliation.

England scraped a lucky win at Edgbaston; they bowled brilliantly at Lords to crush India; they were left humiliated yesterday, at Trent Bridge.
For the third time in a couple of years - the entire England side was bowled out in less than a single session. Pathetic!
There have been two disasters in this match:
There was inadequate bowling from the England attack which rarely found the length which had won the Lords test. This resulted in an absurdly high total of 329 in India's first innings, especially when taking atmospheric conditions into account.
But the batting capitulation was beyond embarrassing. It appears that England are singularly incapable of 'digging in' and building a proper innings.
Perhaps the 77 year old Geoff  Boycott should open the innings in the 4th test to show them how it's done.
