Prayer For Pastor. Don't Stop.

'Please pray for Iranian Pastor Yousef Nadarkhani who has received a death sentence for apostasy (i.e. leaving Islam). We have received the following update from Middle East Concern.
"First, his lawyer has been informed that the case is being referred to Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Second, the Supreme Court has announced today (11th October) that it would be willing to consider a further appeal. These are unusual developments in Iran's legal system, and are likely to further delay the issuing of a written verdict following the most recent hearing.'

Sense From A Lib Dem? - Er ...Well ... Yes ... Actually.

'Former children’s TV favourite Floella Benjamin has blamed televisions and computers in children’s bedrooms for causing their personal problems in later life – including having extra-marital affairs.
Baroness Benjamin, who shot to fame as presenter of the BBC’s Play School in the 1970s and was made a Liberal Democrat peer last year, suggested that children should be taught how to limit their use of modern technology, and by exercising restraint they will learn how to resist other temptations when they are older.'

We Were Right All Along?

In that long-predicted catastrophe looking-for-a-place-to-happen which is the eurozone, many readers may well be surprised that few of us in UKIP are crowing.
From the outset, we have simply had the best interests of the UK at heart. We derive extremely little pleasure from having been proved so monumentally correct but a great many of us are profoundly angered that cloud-cuckooland politics had replaced pragmatism and that our eminently sensible mouthpieces, as well as the inherent common sense of the British people, had been so dismissively cast aside by those quisling sellout merchants found in all governments dating right back to Macmillan.

Ve Haf Vays Ov Mayking Yu Toe Ze Line!

Apparently German Chancellor Angela Merkel has not only threatened the Greeks with an end to bailouts and being kicked out of the euro, but also with expulsion from the EU for at least ten years.
Now this may well make sense - from certain entrenched positions, at least.
But, may I just ask from whence cometh her authority?
Is she 'the voice of the EU'?
Is she more important than the European Parliament and elected representatives?
Is this the biggest country in the EU flexing its muscles?
(Do remember - it was Merkel who hinted at military solutions!)

Christians Need To Boycott The Maldives As A Holiday Destination.

Nov 01 2011
'Police in the Maldives deported a foreign teacher for having a Bible in his house – confirming fears that repressive new religious laws are being enforced in the island nation.
Shijo Kokkattu, a teacher from India, was detained for about a fortnight, charged with preaching Christianity then sent back to his homeland last month – after a police raid on his house in Raa Atoll.
There had been hopes that religious restrictions introduced under former dictator Maumoon Gayoom would not be enforced under President Mohamed Nasheed, who came to power in 2008 and who is widely considered to be a progressive Muslim.
But new regulations under the Protection of Religious Unity Act 1994 were published in the Government's gazette last month and thereby brought into force, according to the World Evangelical Alliance Religious Liberty Commission.' Release International.
Boycott needed.

UKIP - On The Road To Power! - Peter Oborne On The Money.

The main parties’ cosy alliance is about to be blown apart by Nigel Farage’s Eurosceptics.
The modern history of the Conservative Party has been poorly understood, mainly because it has been written by the winner – the modernising faction that undermined the leadership.
Nigel Farage's Ukip are riding high in the polls
Nigel Farage's Ukip are riding high in the polls
of William Hague and Iain Duncan Smith before seizing control after the 2005 election defeat.
These modernisers like to portray recent Tory history as a victory for change, pragmatism, progress and sanity. But this relentlessly optimistic account ignores the central truth: the Conservative Party formally split in the decade that followed the political assassination of Margaret Thatcher in 1990.
The first manifestation of this split was the creation of the Anti-Federalist League by the distinguished historian Alan Sked in 1991, at just the time that the Maastricht Treaty was signed. The decision to deprive eight Conservative MPs of the whip in the mid-1990s was another significant moment. Sir James Goldsmith’s Referendum Party took the disintegration process one stage further.
Sir James was far more successful than is widely appreciated, and forced the Conservative government to pledge a referendum on future European treaty changes. He also sucked away many Tory activists. When the Referendum Party folded after his death the following year, these activists tended not to return to the Conservatives. Many of them gave their loyalty to Ukip, the protest party led by Nigel Farage which now campaigns for Britain to leave the European Union.
In contrast to the racist BNP, which tends to attract former Labour supporters, Ukip is in reality the Conservative Party in exile. Many of its senior members wear covert coats and trilbies, making them look like off-duty cavalry officers. They are fiercely patriotic and independent.
Farage himself is a very jolly chap who smokes, drinks and occasionally gets into minor trouble. He is instantly recognisable as the kind of man who would have served loyally in the post-war Conservative Party and would have been popular with opposition parties. He is one of the relatively few politicians I actually look forward to meeting. Indeed, Mr Farage, who abandoned the Tories on the day that Margaret Thatcher quit as party leader, is entirely representative of his membership, many of whom are small businessmen, or served in the Armed Forces, and are extremely public-spirited.
It was widely noted that party activists were heavily outnumbered by lobbyists at this year’s Conservative conference. One of the reasons was that so many Tory activists have gone off to join Ukip. Practically all of its supporters were instinctively at home in the party of Margaret Thatcher. A steady trickle of former Tory grandees have defected to Mr Farage’s party: Alexander Hesketh, the former treasurer and chief whip in the House of Lords, is the most recent.
If a Left-wing party had reached Ukip’s size and consequence, the media would be fascinated. But, because of its old-fashioned and decidedly provincial approach, it has been practically ignored. In the 2004 European elections, the party gained a sensational 16 per cent of the vote. Had it been the Greens or the Communists that had pulled off this feat, the BBC would have gone crazy. Instead it chose not to mention this event, coolly classifying Ukip as “other”.
For the metropolitan elite, the party scarcely exists. This is why last Sunday’s YouGov poll showing that support for Farage’s party had crept up to 7 per cent – just one point fewer than the Liberal Democrats – gained no coverage. But the significance of this is very great. I believe that Ukip is about to take over from the Lib Dems as Britain’s third largest political party.
The Lib Dems are finished for the foreseeable future – the invariable fate of the smaller party in a coalition government. They will be fortunate to retain a dozen seats at the next general election. Meanwhile, Ukip will probably overtake them in the polls over the coming months, most likely pulling well ahead as the general election approaches. The European elections, due in two and a half years’ time, will provide an important test: my guess is that Ukip will perform very strongly, while the Lib Dems will be all but wiped out.
It is becoming painfully apparent that Paddy Ashdown and Charles Kennedy made a historic mistake at the end of the last century. Had the Lib Dems then made the decision to reflect popular opinion and challenge the European Union, they could have been a genuinely radical party, capable of confronting head-on and overtaking their two main rivals. Instead (to the despair of several of their MPs), they timidly chose to become a voice of the European machine in Brussels, meaning they became part of the consensus and were never able to make the breakthrough they wanted.
As a result of this failure of nerve and vision, Britain’s political architecture is about to be transformed. Since the Second World War, our third national party has been on the Left. This has meant that Conservative governments have often been pulled towards the centre, while Labour governments have had crucial cover. We are now moving towards a new era, in which the most significant third force may be on the Right.
The consequences of this are, at this stage, hard to predict. It is possible that Ukip may develop into a rebellious third party, like Jean-Marie Le Pen’s Front National in France, but this is unlikely: Le Pen’s party was semi-fascist, and Ukip seems too fundamentally British, conservative and decent to go down that frightening route. Furthermore, our electoral system holds back Ukip, just as it does the Lib Dems. Though it is easier now to imagine the former surging to victory in a by-election, with the latter extinguished as a vehicle for protest votes, it is virtually inconceivable that Mr Farage’s party can win parliamentary seats at the next general election.
But Ukip can still exercise a determining influence. The strength of its national support means that it holds the future of scores of Tory MPs in its hands. By running a candidate in a marginal seat, it can deprive the Tories of a few thousand votes, more than enough to cause him or her to lose – indeed, one Tory, David Heathcoat-Amory, ironically himself a Eurosceptic, blames Ukip for his loss in the 2010 election.
Meanwhile, the party can throw its weight behind Tory candidates fighting for their lives against Lib Dem or Labour rivals. But in return, of course, it is entitled to demand a price and insist that those candidates pursue strong anti-European policies. This ability to determine or affect the result in individual constituencies means that Ukip can intervene dramatically in the Tory civil war over Europe which broke out after last week’s Commons vote. It can terminate the careers of ministers and loyal backbenchers, while throwing a lifeline to rebels.
Ukip’s strength is very easy to explain. The leadership of the three mainstream parties have made an error. They are determined to cleave to the centre ground. Ukip alone has the courage to stand outside this cosy alliance and to cause havoc. Meanwhile, it goes without saying that a Tory leader can never win an election so long as the broader Conservative movement is so painfully split.

Ever Wondered Why I Despise The Mail's Liz Jones?

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-2056875/The-craving-baby-drives-women-ultimate-deception.html

This vomitworthy article captures just about everything that is wrong with feminists and so-called 'modern woman'.

Mutilated Parrots.

For those who argue that 'there is no place for corporal punishment in a civilised country'  - perhaps they might care to explain how you deal with the verminous thugs who cut the feet off these two parrots and left them to bleed to death.
I am utterly fed up of the 'do-gooder' response that they need psychiatric 'help'.
What we are dealing with here is evil - pure and simple. There is no 'cure' for a sociopath and it is folly to pretend otherwise.
All you can do is to control them. They do have a sense of self preservation and so deterrent punishments are singularly appropriate.
'But what type of person would be prepared to administer a birching?' do I hear you ask?
One with a sense of justice and a love of how Singapore would have dealt with this - that's who!
'But you are a Christian!' Snivel, whimper, simper!
YES. And them receiving proper and due earthly punishments, no way precludes me for praying for such people - which I still do!

The Family Justice Review.

The Family Justice Review (and how misnamed that has proved) which was promised to bring some fairness to divorced fathers, and indeed grandparents, has let us all down completely in the massive overhaul of family law.
This legislation may well have been 'scuppered' in part by the Lib Dems who hate the family with a venom but what exactly have the tories achieved here? We may just as well have had Labour in power!
Anyway - don't blame me. I certainly did not vote for any of these three loadsalosers.

Civil Partnerships In Church?

'Liberal Jewish groups, Quakers and other minor Christian organisations have lobbied for the right to host civil partnerships with religious readings and hymns. However, the Church of England has warned that it would not bless same-sex couples.' [Telegraph.]
So many are the distinctions between the Quakers and Gospel Christianity that I think the group must now be considered a cult.

Petition on EU - Please Sign and Pass On!

Referendum on the European Union

Responsible department: Foreign and Commonwealth Office
We, the people of the United Kingdom, are dissatisfied with the result of the EU Referendum Debate on 24 October 2011 and would like the House of Commons to reconsider its decision in light of this petition and grant us an opportunity through a referendum to express our desire on the relationship with the EU.

She Must Have Some Very Good Reason!

'Sally Morgan, the TV clairvoyant who styles herself as "Britain's best-loved psychic", has turned down an invitation to prove her supernatural powers on Monday.

Morgan, who claims to converse with the spirit world in sellout shows across the country, was asked to demonstrate her abilities in a Halloween challenge laid down by sceptics in Liverpool.

Morgan's lawyers, Atkins Thomson, emailed the science writer Simon Singh, who organised the scientific test of her powers, to make clear that she would not take up the challenge.' (Telegraph.)  Puzzling! How very odd!

Just Love The Picture - It Probably Mirrors The Reality!

Let's just consider who will not be voting Lib Dem next time:
1] Those within their ranks - and there really are more than a few - who oppose the EU.
2] Those who hate tories with a venom and cannot forgive Clegg for having joined a tory-based coalition.
3] Those who have finally realised - and dislike the fact - that the Lib Dems are actually a left-leaning party and emphatically 'not a party of the centre'.
4] Those who have a genuine belief in democracy.
5] Those who are recognising that the whole 'global warming' scam is beginning to unravel.
6] The people who are Labour voters by inclination who have 'given them a try'.
7] As above - but with ex-tory voters.
8] Natural Greens who consider that the Lib Dems have 'sold out'.
9] The 'ivory tower left' who will not be able to stomach any pragmatic decisions by senior Lib Dems and
10] Those who have finally realised that Vince Cable is not a 'financial wizard' at all but an irritating little know-it-all who had 'a good press' for a while!

The problem is that I could make similar lists for Labour and Conservatives.
Tragically, all these losers still retain loyalty from so many voters.  WHY?

Oooh. What A Shock!

Open Europe’s Christopher Howarth was quoted in the Sunday Times commenting on Catherine Ashton’s recent visit to the three-day Commonwealth heads of government meeting in Australia by saying that: “Baroness Ashton has not set the world on fire to date.”

Open Europe.

Cameron: Treaty change may offer opportunities for Britain to further our national interest;
Clegg: “No question of unilaterally repatriating powers from the EU”

Hmm. I wonder how it will all work out?

Halloween.

Amongst the many benefits to this country which have originated in the USA, there have also been some real negatives.
Pretty close to top of this list is the horrendous, americanised version of halloween which has been foisted upon us over the last quarter century.
An embracing of evil, combined with considering the occult to be 'fun' added to terrifying the old and vulnerable with alternate demands and threats at their door and - there you have it.
Spiritually dead parents encourage their offspring into territory where dangers abound.
I once had a very small part in dealing with an horrendous spiritual situation many years ago, which ended in a girl who had taken all this 'a bit too far' having to be taken to an anglican priest for an exorcism by her non-christian parents.
The matter was wholly resolved by this but everything which had happened had been both dreadful - and verifiable!
Only one set of blaggers arrived at my door last night - and I refused to open it. They quickly departed - one of the clear advantages of having a front doorbell which sounds like a mighty mastiff in its full glory!
Why is the church not attacking this sickening aberration with all guns blazing?
