When the crisis comes.

Our preparations for the Second World War were feeble. The pacifists and equivalent of today's liberal left had virtually disarmed us in the 1930s and we were disastrously under prepared for a war of self defence.
That was one problem and similarities with today are clear. Our only genuine hope of protection, should an invader ever arise again, is the NATO alliance which is being gradually marginalised in W. Europe as the EU continues working to its own imperialistic agenda. It even has the gall to steal NATO's thunder and claim that it is the EU which has kept the peace in Europe since World War Two. Utterly dishonest!
Be under no illusions - the EU would never put troops into action to defend us - it is far more likely to use them to suppress the nation to force it to toe the EU line. The European Union is trying to grab hold of the strings to control our Armed Forces as I speak.
It is ironic in the extreme that it is such people as Bomber Blair who, having abused the role of our brave soldiers, sailors and airmen in his own selfish projects of self-glorification, should be in the forefront of wanting to see us hand over future control of these forces to foreign nations. Their only interest in us is the degree to which their sinister overlord , the EU, can tell us what to do.
NATO was never like this!

The Christian Blairs?

Jesus was criticised for eating with 'tax collectors and sinners'. He lent them neither respectability nor 'street cred'. They did not have any influence on Him but clearly, as seen with Zacchaeus and Levi, he left a positive effect on them.
We are told that Cherie Blair is 'a good Catholic' and that her husband, although Anglican, is attracted to Rome.
I dare to suggest that a 'christian' couple staying on holiday with Mr and Mrs Robin Gibb offers very poor testimony for the Faith.
Let us forget whether or not this was another freebie holiday. Let us ignore the fact that Mr Gibb has a vested, political interest in performing rights legislation and could be deemed to be in an unfair position to lobby the PM.
Robin and Dwina apparently have 'an open marriage'. There has been a history of drug addiction, shoplifting and arson. There are connections to druidism and New age mumbo jumbo and a great deal more besides. According to reports today, Dwina conducts many lesbian affairs.
Should the leader of our nation and, more especially alleged Christian, be consorting with such people?
Of course, none of this is new for Cherie as she befriended [if that is the right way round] a certain New Age guru called Carole Caplin. Guilt by association!
Judgemental am I? No. "By their fruits ye shall know them." Matthew 7:16.

C.S.Lewis.

I used to read the entire Narnia Chronicles every Christmas but had not done so for three or four years.
Being laid low with a nasty virus, I tracked them down, dusted them off and returned to my state of marvelling at the expertise of the great professor.
Every major biblical doctrine is covered across the seven volumes - and in terms which may be understood by all. I shall refer to some of these in future postings.
Today, I look at Lewis the incredible social commentator. The Last Battle was first published exactly 50 years ago and yet he predicted the odious multifaith attitudes which would develop. In giving you a passage from that book, I must explain that the lion Aslan is the equivalent of Jesus and Tash represents all false gods; demons and even Satan. The manipulation of ordinary people's thinking is identical to today.
"We know better now. {They} use different words but we all mean the same thing. Tash and Aslan are just different names for you know Who. That's why there can never be any quarrel between them. Get that into your heads you stupid brutes.Tash is Aslan: Aslan is Tash."
Later on, the forces of evil combine the two into TASHLAN.
".....there is no such person as either...all who are enlightened know that" say two of the conspirators at a later time in the book.
Sellout merchants; deceivers; fifth columnists; so-called liberals are all granted licence by the apathetic to combine together to bring down a society from its very base.
I thought he was just a brilliant writer but no - he wrote prophetically and with Orwellian accuracy.

Compare then with now.

There is a tendency today always to seek the conspiracy-driven explanation in a given situation. This is not to deny the possibility of political conspiracies globally - I am sure that such do exist - but rather an explanation of how mankind loves the cathartic effect of being thrilled and excited. Never let the facts get in the way of a good story, though.
Take the various offshoots of Christianity which began to develop, particularly towards the end of the First Century onwards. All were heretical, opinionated and distanced from the actual events surrounding the life of Christ. Principal amongst these were the gnostics but there were many more.
Compare with today. Various cults have sprung up on the fringes of Christianity: Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormons, Children of God, Unitarians, Christadelphians and countless others.
All these heretical groups are easily countered and that is what the evangelical Church does today - and academics do not spring to the defence of these cults. There is nothing defendable.
It was ever thus.
The many 'Gospels of....' and heretical texts were examined by the early Church and dumped.
The Dan Browns of this world grab hold of these rejects and present them as "Church suppressed truth." If it were not so seriously spiritually damaging for the uneducated and the terminally simple, it would be laughable.

Cost of boating to rise.

I have never been on a pleasure boat to the best of my recollection. I am deeply angry however, because the cost for such enthusiasts is to triple because of imposed fuel duties.
A very harsh trick to be played by the government on hundreds of thousands of people - or so it would seem. But no. This is one more imposition over which our government had no control - one out of literally hundreds and thousands.
No. This was imposed by a foreign government; one with whom our influence is minimal; one which does not have our national interests at heart; one which is, in all but name, an occupying power; one whose influence rises year on year; one which is imperialistic by its very nature.
Welcome to the petty, sordid, corrupt, bureaucratic world of the EU!

Rubbish follows rubbish.

Channel Four is like a leopard which never changes its spots. On Christmas night itself, it felt its customary need to spit in the face of Christianity; this time with its programme 'The Secret Family of Jesus'.This channel will do anything in its not insignificant power to dilute the truth of Christianity with half-baked legend and long rejected garbage from the dustbin of history. This is presented in a semi-erudite fashion which attempts to give the proffered trash a legitimacy which even the most liberal-minded of theologians would reject out of hand.
To put on such a programme at such a time is calculated to maximise damage to the faith amongst the now considerable numbers of people who have no grounding in it and who will believe whatever is pushed into their face.
All this without the 'Muslim in a veil' episode they also thrust into our longsuffering faces! For those who missed the issue, this was Channel Four's attempt to 'balance' the Christian message [and/or The Queen's Speech] - something they NEVER seek when they push Islam and slag off Christianity in their deplorable fashion throughout the rest of the year. Remember. They ignore complaints!
It is only fair to point out that BBC One has been quite disgraceful with its 'Vicar of Dibley' Christmas special in 2005 - and not a great deal better this year, either.
I wonder if there is a special place in hell reserved for the purveyors of such grievous propaganda?

Keep the Christmas spirit!

Let us all remember that the real message of Christmas is that life is all about human greed and has precious little to do with God incarnate coming to save His people from Hell.
I gave a speech at school - and won a cup for it - in about 1967. How little I knew then how relevant that title would be for today.
"Have we lost the Spirit of Christmas?"

Sports build character.

They turn up periodically. You know them - of course you do - those buffoons who want to ban or severely restrict competitive sport in schools as it "may lower the self esteem of some children." Having seen the Ashes disaster in Australia, I cannot think that Ms Gidley is doing a great deal to help our national self respect.
The latest in a long line, she is Sandra Gidley MP, who turns out to be a health spokesman for the Lib Dems. Why am I not surprised?
I was a fairly sickly child and it wasn't sports which made me fret as much as compulsory cross country - that was a gut wrencher. Would I ban it though? - Of course not!
We have never created a more wimpish generation in the history of civilisation. Children do not have to wonder where their next crust is coming from. They do not even have to make their own entertainment. Few have to struggle in life.
Sports build character and teach better than anything how to be a part of a team. Individual sports are useful too for developing personal targets but can never replace team sports.
We wonder why so many of our children are soft, griping and wet. Wonder no more.
Apparently the banning of team sports was a major plank of the old Communist Chinese Cultural Revolution!

Alcohol abuse.

Treatments at A & E departments for alcohol related problems have doubled from 75,863 in 1997 when Blair took power to an horrific 148,477 in the last year.
Good to see the people who predicted doom and gloom when licensing laws were liberalised have been proved so far off beam, do you not think?

Looks like the BBC got it wrong here!

Victory!

Every now and again sanity wins through. We must cherish these increasingly rare moments.
The Christian couple, Joe and Helen Roberts, who were interrogated by heavy-handed Lancashire police in Fleetwood as they tried to advertise the fact locally that the Bible states that the practice of homosexuality is sinful, have had their rights vindicated. The possibility of free speech continues to hang on by a tenuous thread in our nation
The couple were awarded £40,000 to cover legal costs and a further £10,000 damages by Wyre Borough Council.
Better still ,the Home Secretary is shortly to issue new guidelines which should protect rights of free speech.
Even that vociferous homosexual apologist Peter Tatchell had been horrified by the abuse of basic, British freedoms.

Some deaths matter more than others.

Sometimes life is about perspectives. For 40 years and more, the left and their acolytes have huffed and puffed over the imagined horrors of the 'wrongful' executions of Evans and Hanratty in 1950 and 1962. Their relentless - and not always honest - quest for martyrs knew no bounds.
The only small problems being that Eddowes' definitive volume has now proved the guilt of the former beyond any doubt and the Wetherby forensics lab proved the guilt of the latter some four years ago.
Let us assume that our worthy do-gooders; Ludovic Kennedy, the late Paul Foot, Sidney Silverman et al had been correct. How does that relate to an unbelievable figure of 100 murders in the last two years by criminals allegedly under the supervision of the Probation Service? How does that compare to a murder committed every fortnight by a released lifer - a figure which will inevitably rise now that a typical life sentence is just six years? Do the recently slain not matter? They certainly appear to have nobody campaigning on their behalf.

Change the system. Now.

Our justice system is in a downward spiral. In Crown Court in Liverpool, more than 70% of trials bring in not guilty verdicts. The filtering of cases ensures that virtually all people brought before judge and jury are guilty. The innocent are incredibly few in number.
If a case is weak [unusual as the CPS only prosecutes where it feels sure to win] then it is right for an acquittal to be given. Indeed, as a magistrate I often found a case 'not proved' when the skittles did not all line up neatly - even when I was virtually certain that the defendant was guilty. This is how the Law is meant to be applied.
The Liverpool acquittal rate dates from the point when juries became 'more broadly selected'. You do not need too many lowlifes - often complete with a criminal record of their own - and simpletons on a jury before there is no hope whatsoever of achieving any conviction.
Couple this with the blatant dishonesty seen daily in the system from those so-called 'Officers of the Court' - defence lawyers, and the system is clearly in disarray.
When a solicitor informs a Bench of certain 'facts' about his client, pre-sentence, anything from childhood abuse to allegedly voluntary attendance on a drugs programme, the Magistrates have to accept this frequently used old pap as verified fact.
They frequently lie and commonly mislead! Magistrates cannot disprove the point and yet another villain walks out of court under-sentenced.
There is a solution. Defence solicitors must not be allowed to make any statements to a court except under oath. For the sake of balance this should extend to the CPS who seldom try too hard to win a verdict in any case.
The threat of disbarment, perjury charges and prison would transform our courts in one step.
Truth would make a tardy but much-welcomed return.

Somali issues.

Some years ago I was discussing race issues in Sheffield with a Police Officer who was a former pupil of mine. He stated that the police had a good to excellent relationship with all the minority groups in the city with the exception of the Somalis whose entire community seemingly treated himself and his colleagues with awkwardness, malice and a contempt which was absolute.
It was therefore of little surprise to me to learn of the nationality of the police killers recently convicted of the murder of Sharon Beshenivsky.
The death of this excellent lady apart, the contempt for the Law and debate about what punishments should have applied are all important but let us consider the broader issues:-
1) Is there any truth in the tabloid press asssertions that a member of this group escaped to Somalia whilst posing as a female, unchecked at the airport, and face concealed behind a niquab?
2) Why would this man have run back to the very country to which "he could not return" as he was "in fear for his very life there" were he to do so?
3)Why had immigration officials not previously deported this wretch? Why did they accept at face value his clearly bogus claims?
4) Why has the BBC calculatedly attempted to conceal the nationality of these miserable creatures in its reporting?
5) Why are there any Somalis living in the UK in any case? Somalia is not even a member of the Commonwealth? We have no significant historic connections to that nation.
6) How many people are aware that several of these men were out on the streets ON BAIL for firearms offences?

In a single incident we have found: asylum seeker status abused; a government lack of will to deal with bogus refugees; a failure to control our borders [EU - Schengen agreement fails again!]; political correctness in our national broadcaster; failure to deport known criminals; the issue of bail and a great deal more where issues of the Law are concerned.
This government is unfit for purpose and the tragedy is that the 'government waiting in the wings' demonstrates no indications whatsoever that a single area would have been better handled in this tragic instance.

No to worshipping the famous.

I do not care what celebrities think - I am yet to be convinced that they are capable of rational thought at all. I do not want the rich, the famous, TV stars, musicians et al to infect chat shows, radio programmes, magazines and newspapers with what their opinions are. If I want half-baked ideas I can go down to the public bar at the Anglers' Rest.
Why should Mick Jagger's politics or Bill Roache's views on global warming have any relevance?
Who gives a monkey's where Britney buys her perfume or which decorator the Duke of Devonshire holds as superior to the rest?
I am horrified when I see people fawning over the famous; soliciting their attention and trying to emulate their so-called style.
Frankly, it is pathetic that so many people need to live vicariously. It is a poor substitute for spirituality.
There is always an exception. Geldof has earned the right to talk on the subject of world poverty and preferably nothing else.

Opinions?

It is tragic when you hear somebody expound the view that "Christianity is just a matter of opinion." Nothing could be further from the truth. I am sure that this may be a reasonable conclusion to draw after contact with the many liberal churches in our nation but that does not make it reality!
Some discover the Living Christ in a FLASH. Some gradually come to realisation and certainty over a period of time.
Jesus invites us to "Seek and you will find." I have never met anybody with an open heart who has failed to discover that Christ is real after honestly seeking.
Once that point is reached, it is a question about relationship; prayer, praise and worship. Every true Christian has a testimony of what God has done in his/her life. We can all point to answered prayer - sometimes to a miraculous degree. Some of us have heard God speak to us, others have 'dreamed dreams' or even 'seen visions'.
This is not mysticism nor mere spirituality but KNOWING the Saviour without whom we are condemned.
There is no other way to God; no other religion; no other means of salvation.
At Christmas what a time to introduce yourself to the Saviour; to repent and invite Him into your life. For some, what a time to rededicate your life to God the Son who loved you enough to die for you.

Equality of outcome.

When you have found some sort of equality of opportunity - this can never be an absolute principle - you have reached your target. Congratulations!
Unfortunately, this does not work for the liberal left and politically correct who will insist on different criteria to be applied at this point as certain groups may find themselves "under-represented". There will always be groups who are less well represented - this is inevitable. This is life. Enter, 'equality of outcome!'
If we take crane drivers as an example, this is a largely male preserve and so these egalitarian lunatics will enter paroxysms of ire that this "social injustice must be addressed." We are now so accustomed to such nonsense that we hardly notice but it is a clear tactic to undermine the social fabric. If for example, we consider the doling out of taxi licences to those of Pakistani origin, to the extent in Sheffield that a non Pakistani driving a taxi is now a rarity, I have to ask why this particular gross imbalance is not part of the stated arguments. It could not posssibly be a double standard, could it?
If the loony left get their way - as they now do in countless governmental and council institutions - even greater unfairnesses emerge. Promotions will be based, not on merit but on: gender, sexual inclination, colour, religion, non-independent school education, background, ethnicity and much, much more besides.
The real outcome is that the less deserving will receive the promotions. The incompetent will rise. The Peter Principle will be expanded. Worst of all is that those who deserve the promotions as the best are sidelined and inevitably they become profoundly resentful.
Have I seen this? Worse. I have experienced the downside first hand. Was I resentful? - You bet!

Ultimately, the only fair system is MERIT and merit alone. If that means imbalance - tough!

Cicero.

I keep stumbling across this quote. Maybe it is intended that I should include it so we can take a close look at our europhile politicians:

"A nation can survive its fools and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and he carries his banners openly against the city. But the traitor moves among those within the gates freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears no traitor; he speaks in the accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their garments and he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men."

Explosive quote.

"In the beginning was nothing which exploded" is a wonderful quotation fom a DiscWorld book by author Terry Pratchett.
Not only does it rationally summarise the so-called Big Bang but rather demonstrates how this is a mere belief; indeed a faith system. The look on the face of somebody who has been taught the Big Bang Theory as fact is a picture if you use this quote. You see them rapidly unravel the patent absurdity of it all.

Evolutionary scientists have got SO much wrong and precious little right.

Post Offices disaster.

It would cost an equivalent of just 16p per person per week to raise a subsidy to stop Post Office closures.
Post Office closures are NOT a money issue but a result of two European Union directives.
Whilst on the topic of the EU, it costs £16 per person per week to fund this seedy, imperialistic, bureaucratic nonsense.
Postal Directives: 97/67/EC and 2002/39/EC.

Baa, baa, baa.

A friend yesterday asked me whether Orwell's 1984 remains on the school curriculum. Neither of us knew but we strongly doubted it as this would require students to think deeply about the nature and structure of the society they inhabit.
We then considered soaps and how these are used to manipulate the masses into a desired line of thinking.
Take as an example from many, the Les Battersby character in Coronation Street who is the only one to be opposed to viewing the transexual Hayley as a woman. Les is a bigoted clown and there is a subliminal message which is transmitted to the audience that they are as bad as he is if they ever share anything of his opinions. This is not even subtlety. The possibilities for the exercise of social control are enormous. The nice guys in soaps, comedies and even dramas, always hold the invariably liberal-left opinions of the writers.
Soaps have consistently trivialised the abortion issue. Socialists and liberals are 'all jolly good chaps' without exception. Businessmen are all Mike Baldwin types; grasping capitalists subjugating the workers and never the 'lifeblood of the nation'. An almost pure marxist perception. The list is endless.
Do not get me started on the differing portrayals of Christians and Muslims! My wife and I refuse to watch soaps.

Hain again.

Peter Hain, the Northern Ireland Secretary is rushing the Northern Ireland version of the Sexual Orientation Regulations onto the statute book. If these are anything to go by, the laws planned for the rest of the UK will have alarming implications for religious liberty.

The obvious answer.

There is a regular tendency in certain quarters to 'go beyond the obvious' if negatives appear regularly with regard to a particular social or ethnic group.
In the 70s, we were told that blacks were more likely to be stopped by Police in certain areas under the old 'suss laws'.
The conclusion which we were informed would have to be reached was that the Police were racist. This ignored the immediately more obvious fact that in these areas, black men were more likely to be hanging around outside in the street, after dark. Consequently, there were more blacks stopped.
For thirty five years the left have desperately tried to disguise the simple fact that more crime was being committed by black youths than by white. Why do this? Is it not dishonest? Do you not play more rapidly into the hands of the BNP by such practices than you do by being frank? Remember the attitudes of the liberal-left some years ago when London muggers were revealed as 90% black? What an outcry!
When black girls of Caribbean origin began to top the leagues of academic success in schools - there was no similar digging to find an alternative explanation. When these were replaced by youngsters of Asian origins, where were the complaints?
The latest in a long, long line of double standards is an official study which has investigated why black children were three times more likely than white children to be expelled from school. It concluded with that absurd claim that schools are 'institutionally racist'. Where have we heard that ridiculous expression before?
I can assure my reader that if a child about to be excluded is black, even greater efforts will be made not to expel as treatment is rarely evenhanded because of the 'prejudice police' who are always on the lookout for a story - however unlikely or tenuous the link. As a result and out of fear of criticism, schools are considerably LESS likely to expel children from ethnic minorities. I know. I have been there!
If black children are expelled at the declared rate, I can assure you that the problem runs even deeper than at face value. The simple conclusion must be that they are the ones more likely to misbehave.
The teaching unions, in full defence mode - and rightly - have persuaded the government to shelve this silly investigation and its puerile results.
What a shame that the Police did not have a little more clout when they were described as 'institutionally racist'.

Let us ensure that no racist groups can ever have justification for using propaganda like that seen on this photo. The vast majority of people from ethnic minorities are not asking for the demeaning 'special case status' which our angst-ridden lefties would foist upon them.

A double whammy.

I have argued previously about the countless injustices of inheritance tax in any circumstance.
Two elderly spinster sisters who have shared a home for 40 years have had a disastrous, mean-spirited, manifestly unjust judgement given against them by judges in the so-called European Court of Human Rights who threw out their case by a 4-3 verdict thus landing them with a £10,000 legal bill. Apparently as relations, their legitimate rights must be seen as inferior to those of homosexual couples.
Joyce and Sybil Burden have lived together all their lives. Their claim was that they should be spared inheritance tax in just the same way as married couples, or homosexuals who form a civil partnership.
The one who lives the longest will now have to sell the family home when the other dies so as to to raise the £61,000 inheritance tax bill.

And the point of this blogsite is...

What exactly is the function of this Blog? Why does it exist? - Part of this is explained on the heading.
I am wearied by the incessant political correctness in our nation which is an incredibly anti-libertarian culture and am particularly concerned where it infects a large portion of the liberal church. This has a knock on effect into genuine Christianity.
The site also fights atheism, apathy and undemocratic practices from the political class. I fight the liberal elite, marxism - in all its variants, the imperialistic European Union, anti scriptural practices throughout society, the cult of personality, secret societies, those who refuse debate and all who work to enslave our dormant people.
I oppose cheats, the dishonest, the mealy-mouthed and the proclaimers of weasel words.
I want to see the honest, hardworking, decent people rewarded and those who oppose this alienated. I want criminals locked up and our borders secure. I want our troops out of other people's conflicts and I want to retain the freedoms which our masters in Brussels want to remove from us as they dismantle our nation.
I want to see the Saviour given due honour and deference.

Pardon my suspicions.

Head Teacher Susan Aspland of Wallisdean Infant School in Hampshire is only allowing pupils to send a single Christmas card - to the whole class. Ostensibly this is to 'cut down on litter and to help children's self esteem.'
Two possibilities: either this is true and diminishes part of the excitement of Christmas for pupils OR it is political correctness in disguise.
Were I a gambling man I know where my wager would be placed!

The Temple Curtain.

Do you want a proof of the accuracy of the Gospels?
Take Mark's Gospel late dated by theologians to 64/65 AD - it was almost certainly some 20 years earlier. [See 'Papyrology' posting 29th August.]
Consider the 'splitting of the temple curtain' in Mark 15. There is a major proof both of the accuracy of the Scriptures and the miraculous element at the precise moment of Christ' death. How so?
If this event had NOT happened everybody with any Jerusalem connection would have known and would have instantly rejected the written Gospel as inaccurate and untrustworthy. John Mark would not have dared include this fact if not widely known in Jerusalem. The same applies with Luke and Matthew, two later versions which both include this.
Think about it. Even if we allow the theologians their absurd 30 years the story could not have held firm. Too many survivors would have spotted any untruth as the curtain was on public view and simply enormous!
If the front of Sheffield Town Hall had mysteriously disappeared 30 years ago - I would have recalled it. It did not happen. If somebody were to publish a story today claiming it had disappeared, I would catch them out instantly.
Folks. The miracle happened! Let us not forget that a similar case can be made where the question of "the darkness over the land" is concerned although this is rather less finite.

Christmas cards.

I have already commented on the horrors of Christmas stamps and the need to campaign for real Christmas cards to which I should add, that a fortnight ago, I trawled through all the shops selling cards in the centre of Sheffield and found the grand total of ZERO Christmas cards worthy of the name.
I put my hands up. In the past I have not been averse to sending cards with joke Santas and the rest.
We did our cards yesterday and admittedly we did use up all the old, bland , leftover, not-Christ-centred ones. {Waste not want not. All very greenly aware and all that.}
From now on, Christian cards or nothing. Join the campaign.

A cause for optimism.

Last night I went to hear Nigel Farage, the multi-talented leader of the UK Independence Party speak to a packed house in Leeds.
No oratory; no insincerity; no politician answers. What he demonstrated was simple communication with 'ordinary people'.
He spoke extremely well for half an hour and gave the audience double that time to interrogate him.
Neither Blair, nor Campbell, nor Cameron could have connected as he did. He did not'work' his audience.
That the policies are right, and more importantly would work, was indisputable. Up to this point, you might have said that selling themselves is what politicians are about but give them any power.....
What underpinned last night was the fact that I would trust this man to deliver.
Of course - nobody is perfect and sadly there have already been gutter press records of philandering - and I believe that he perhaps hinted that there could be more revelations to come.
This man actually cares about the country and its people. I do hope nothing is allowed to wreck that.

The stated ambition is for The Independence Party to become our largest party in Brussels in 2009. If the electorate have any remaining shreds of sense, they will recognises that that is probably the only way we are going to be able to change our wretched, party system.

Magistrate forced to resign.

Christian, Andrew McClintock has been forced to resign from the S. Yorkshire Bench as he was unwilling to allow children to be adopted or fostered by homosexuals; one early victim - many more to come - from the 2005 Civil Partnerships Act. The Sexual Orientation Regulations are currently being put in place to add the icing to the cake.
The same heinous legislation could force me as a teacher to teach heterosexual partnerships and homosexual ones as being on a par.
Well. I for one shall not do that. Our school will not do that. Christian teaching is abundantly clear that sexual relationships outside heterosexual marriage are sinful.

These abominations are all being challenged in Law; the Equality Regulations of 2003 being cited.

This information came from: 'The English Churchman' - an excellent periodical.

A Christ-filled mass, if you will.

Merry Christmas !!

Twas the month before Christmas when all through our land,

Not a Christian was praying nor taking a stand.
Why the Politically Correct Police had taken away,

The reason for Christmas - no one could say.

The children were told by their schools not to sing,

About Shepherds and Wise Men and Angels and things.
It might hurt people's feelings, the teachers would say

December 25th is just a "Holiday".

Yet the shoppers were ready with cash, checks and credit

Pushing folks down to the floor just to get it!
CDs from Madonna, an X BOX, an I-pod

Something was changing, something quite odd!

Retailers promoted Ramadan and Kwanzaa

In hopes to sell books by Franken & Fonda
The "Beeb" made Jesus a person to mock
Premier Radio became a channel to block!

At Dixons and Currys and Woolies and Comet
You won't hear the word Christmas,
lest someone should vomit!!
Inclusive, sensitive, di-ver-si-ty

Are words that were used to intimidate me!
Now Blair, now Blunkett, now Beckett and Blears
On Hewitt, on Hoon and all Labour's peers!
In the House of Commons, there arose such a clatter

To eliminate Jesus, in all public matter
And we spoke not a word, as they privatised our faith
Forbidden to speak of salvation and grace!
The true gift of Christmas was exchanged and discarded

The reason for the season, stopped before it started!
So as you celebrate "Winter Break" under your "Dream Tree"
Sipping your Starbucks, LISTEN TO ME!!!.
And we spoke not a word, as they took away our faith

Forbidden to speak of salvation and grace.
The true Gift of Christmas was exchanged and discarded

The reason for the season, stopped before it started.
So as you celebrate "Winter Break" under your "Dream Tree

Choose your words carefully, choose what you say
Shout! MERRY CHRISTMAS!, not Happy Holiday!

"Eugenics may be a good idea." - Dawkins

Many of you will realise I try to vary my topics but I have this morning, received information that that anti-Christian extremist Richard Dawkins is even worse than previously thought.
We were wrong to believe that the pseudo-science of eugenics - [amazingly popular in Nazi death camp regimes ] had died a well merited death.
It has now received qualified support from this dangerous, dangerous man.
See the links below! This is no great surprise of course, as this is a natural extension of evolutionist thinking.
PLEASE PRAY!

Odious Dawkins - steal your children?

There really are so few people I dislike. One of that select band is the man who is surely up for an award as the most arrogant man on the planet.
I beg my Christian readers to pray daily for this sad man to change.
This Oxford professor is a leading champion of atheism. He also slags off any scientist who does not believe in evolution - although he does not have the courage to debate with them. This may have something to do with his beliefs being cruelly exposed and his knowledge of genetics - his own specialism - being laid open to ridicule from a video interview he did some years ago which did the rounds of his opponents for many years.[Check link below. It really is worth it!]
Meet Richard Dawkins. For those of you who think that this attack on the good prof is maybe over the top, let me show you a horrifying quote from this wretched bigot's latest atheistic diatribe; a poorly argued book.

The political dimensions of Dawkins' thought are easily seen when he states how children should be protected from parents who believe in God.

"How much do we regard children as being the property of their parents?," Dawkins asks. "It's one thing to say people should be free to believe whatever they like, but should they be free to impose their beliefs on their children? Is there something to be said for society to be stepping in? What about bringing up children to believe
manifest falsehoods?"

Funny how the evolution idea - now clearly "a manifest falsehood" -SHOULD be rammed down our children's throats when people like Dawkins KNOW full well that every 'example' taught to schoolchildren from Galapagos finches to the peppered moth has been discredited AND by their fellow evolutionists who have written articles in science journals. {I know - I saw John Mackay spend an entire evening showing countless examples of just that.}

Please pray!

Common Purpose.

This is a portion of an article produced verbatim from the British Housewives League. I had previously heard of the ugly concept described. For once I make no comment - it is terrifying enough in this simple description!

" Although it has 80,000 trainees in 36 cities, 18,000 graduate members and enormous power, 'Common Purpose' [in the United Kingdom] is largely unknown to the general public. It identifies leaders in all levels of our government, to assume power when our nation is replaced by the European Union, in what they call the 'Post-Democratic Society". They are learning to rule without democracy, and will bring the EU police state home to every one of us. It has members in the National Health Service, the BBC, the police, the legal profession, the Church, many of Britain's 8,500 quangos, local councils, schools, social services, the Civil Service, government ministries (it is backed by the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister, John Prescott), Parliament, and it controls many of the Regional Development Agencies.

Question: If it is as innocent as self-described, why the incredible secrecy surrounding such an enormous project?

Economical with the truth?

It is stated with some authority by Labour that they have cut unemployment. What they have really done is to continue the sleight of hand which was adopted by Major to conceal unemployment behind other benefits - notably sickness.
It is an insult to the many genuine people on sickness benefits that they should be linked to countless individuals who are calculatedly milking the system.
The Reform think tank has recently revealed that the number not working and on benefits exceeds 5.4 million - to think we need to import labour according to their twisted logic! This is simply unsustainable but when will a political party show the courage to sort this out? - Yes. That's what I thought too!

Hizb ut-Tahrir is an extremist, Islamic group. Its members work freely at the Home Office, even dealing with matters of security and immigration. Political correctness in all its stupidity thinks this reasonable.
Incidentally, they do not even have to declare the affiliation. I wonder if BNP members, who are after all, a democratic party, would receive such treatment?
Our politicians look blank and glassy-eyed when you try to point out their double standards to them and that they are playing into the hands of parties like BNP! It is THEIR fault.

The Honours System - dishonoured.

There have always been honours given to: cronies, the famous, the wealthy, failed politicians, party stalwarts, the totally undeserving and of course, the token tea lady.
Blair and co arrive with a 'new brush' and award the all the same types of unmerited honours to perpetuate a hard-to-justify system.
You just have to feel that instead of dismantling the whole lot, he has decided to hold it up to ridicule.
How else do you explain knighthoods to the likes of hissy fit expert Elton John and priapic pub singer Tom Jones? It gets even worse when you see rewards for people with drugs convictions such as Jagger and McCartney!
If ever proof was needed that this country is morally degenerate.....

A proper system to reward the selfless and the truly special is a must.

"Seek the LORD while he may be found; call on him while he is near. Let the wicked forsake his way and the evil man his thoughts. Let him turn to the LORD, and he will have mercy on him, and to our God, for he will freely pardon." (Isa. 55:6-7).

The Christian Gospel.

As a post-Christian nation, it would be interesting to know just what percentage of the population even knows what the Christian teaching is on the issue of salvation. I suspect that it would be well under 20%.
Many would state erroneously that it was achieved by "being a good person."
Some would state that it is all about your "good deeds outweighing the bad."
Neither of course, is correct. The only people who go to Heaven are the 'forgiven'; those who repent and accept Christ's sacrifice as being for them.

The law of unintended consequences.

When a government cobbles together a mixture of ill-conceived, unwanted, politically-correct, dogmatic gibberish - if it turns around and bites them in the face - good!
The Sexual Orientation Regulations becomes law in April. It means that practising Christians in ministry - and there still are a few - will be forced to act against their Christian conscience and may well mean that priests will be sued for refusal to bless same-sex, civil partnerships.
Vincent Nicols the Catholic Archbishop of Birmingham has been in the forefront of fighting this wicked legislation alongside a favourite on this Blog, the Bishop of Rochester, Michael Nazir-Ali.
Apparently charities, welfare work and Church youth clubs will all be affected and many will close. The Roman Church will be forced to pull out of running adoption agencies if forced to hand children over to homosexuals.
Even Blair's feeble-minded government will surely realise that it has to alter this appalling piece of EU-inspired infamy.

"Squeeze 'em 'til the pips squeak."

Many will recognise the statement made by former Labour Chancellor, Bilderberger and all round bigot, Denis Healey; an acknowledgement that the left is all about 'the politics of envy'.
It may satisfy some basic instinct which makes you feel good if somebody richer than yourself is heavily taxed but that does not mean it is good for the nation:-
1} The 'Robin Hood principle' simply does NOT work, largely because
2} The higher the taxation the LESS is collected. The lower the taxation - the MORE is gathered. This is why Gordon Brown has had to target us all with 'stealth taxes' in a clandestine attempt to clobber ORDINARY people.
3} The super rich rarely pay excessive taxes. They move money around internationally in ways not available to mere mortals. It is no use 'shouting the odds' - that is how it has always been and in the computer age......
4} A recent poll of top executives reveals that a large majority claim that our punishing tax regime has made the country less attractive to inward investment - and that affects the entire economy.
5} If proof were needed - some 20% of big enterprises have relocated chunks of their business overseas in successful bids to reduce their tax burden AND MORE STILL ARE CONSIDERING IT!
We must live in a real world - not one based on venom, malice and spite - not really the best of Christian principles, are they?
Incidentally, the better the economy - the better off we all should be.

Public school burglars.

The two burglars aged 17 from Norwich Public School were yesterday quite correctly not sent to prison. After all, their six burglaries had only caused, major distress and heartache, £12,500 of stolen goods and just £6,000 worth of damage. McEvoy and Sorensen-Pound received a swingeing Community Punishment Order and a suspended sentence.
The sixth householder trapped them in a locked doorway and shouted at them to sit down which they did until police arrived.
For justice to have been properly served, the Police should have arrested the victim for kidnapping and charged him with actual bodily harm for the 'distress' caused by raising his voice. A custodial sentence would have been inevitable.
I expect that lawyers are being briefed as we speak, to allow these two unfortunates, from dreadful backgrounds to sue the nasty man who almost ruined their educational prospects by wickedly getting them expelled from school.

Something to consider.

In the days when you could be hanged for stealing a small amount of goods, there were several ways of viewing such harsh penalties.
The first was that hanging could not possibly deter somebody who lived in absolute poverty as theft gave a chance of life with just a risk of death, whereas death through the poverty was perhaps inevitable. A justifiable risk, then.
No. It was only the people who had something to lose who could be deterred - and clearly they were. It is only under such extreme circumstances that it may be reasonably argued that 'only the poor generally hang'.
A second point is that in those severe days even the very worst of mothers impressed upon their children the consequences of their actions; the dangers of the gallows. I wonder how many mothers from the anti-social underclass of today encourage their offspring not to steal - or worse - as the consequences are so terrible?

Smacking.

What do you do as a parent when your child has defied you? Well, if some TV programmes are to be followed you enter a complex procedure of ignoring and isolating the child; you let them work out their frustration and ensure that they never win.
The last part is certainly true and the earlier parts do have some, albeit limited, merit. What you do not do is physically abuse children into submission.
I raised two boys. The older was slippered , I think twice. Could we have avoided physical punishment totally? - Yes.
The younger was wilful and would on occasions, take you on. He was capable of calculated defiance and even then, earned a slippering or smacking perhaps less than a dozen times throughout his entire childhood. Without the physical punishment - which was NEVER used arbitrarily - I think he could have become uncontrollable like SO many more have done.
Professor Al Aynsley-Green is now fighting to ban even the mildest smacks. These people are dangerous. These people are unscriptural. These people have done immeasurable damage before when they banned the cane in schools. The deterioration in discipline is almost unbelievable.
Sorry Prof. Every human being NEEDS a little honest fear of consequences.
The worst thing of all is that these wretched do-gooders cannot differentiate between loving chastisement and abuse. Shame on them!

Unholy ignorance.

Bear with me a moment. Let us assume that the claims of Christianity are indeed true. Let us consider the life of a child born today. The parents - who have no knowledge of Christianity because of their own upbringing - fail to send the child to Church or Sunday School.
At infant school the child becomes confused by the tiny bits from a wide variety of religions thrown at him/her and is unable to distinguish between Jesus and Father Christmas. In junior school, the child is cheated of its cultural heritage and continues to be unable to clarify this mishmash of religions. At the same time the child is taught virtually nothing of either Old or New Testament.
By secondary school the child is effectively instructed that 'all religions lead to God' and the underlying or subliminal message is that this is only taught because you cannot dump religions altogether as certain minority, ethnic groups might be offended.
Let us now take the disingenuous liberal/left premise which has insinuated its sinister way throughout the educational system in recent decades which is that "We must not impose religion on young minds, they will be able to DECIDE for themselves when they are older."

Firstly, on what evidence or base of knowledge is this so-called decision to be made?

Secondly, will the education have fired sufficient interest in the child for him/her to embark on a spiritual quest?

Thirdly, why would the child ever bother going to Church as their education has indicated that this is irrelevant and the media has poured paraffin on the flames by always portraying Christians as cranks and/or hypocrites?

Fourthly, have the TV and Playstation been challenged in the young person's development by this marginalising of Christianity?

It is abundantly clear that only children in very specific situations will be exposed to the Gospel. We began with the assumption that Christianity might be true.
Well then, here is a pretty pickle. Christianity teaches that ALL mankind is going to hell and that there is only one way of avoiding that.
If Christianity is true - and hundreds of millions of us worldwide , through experience KNOW that is indeed the case - just think how well our young people have been served. They could have avoided hell and now will not.
Extreme? - No. Simply the reason why people like my wife and I open a Christian School - desperate measures to reach the eternally lost.

Make money - get divorced.

Mark and Janet Fensome are newly-weds who need to watch the pennies after all they have only been married for three weeks.
Popping down to the local Job Centre, they were to discover that there was an easy way to make an extra £1,250 per year. Advice was given to them that they should DIVORCE then carry on as normal.
In fairness I must admit that the upper ranks of that service have hastily said that that advice should not have been given.
Why? Wasn't it true? - I think we all know the answer to that one.
Just when will the Church in our nation stop navel-gazing and start to put a few rockets up the rears of the odious politicians who have brought these endless disgraceful situations into being.

Christians have a massive block of voting power - we should get organised and wield it!
