Project Fear Is STILL Doing The Rounds In Spite Of Huge Amounts Of Contrary Evidence.

Another 'Remain' Project Fear 'Scaremongering Forecast' Bites The Dust.

The number of EU nationals working in the UK has reached a new record level, official figures from the ONS reveal. There were an estimated 2.38 million employees from EU member states, excluding the UK from July to September this year. This was up by 112,000 on the equivalent period of 2016 and the highest number recorded since comparable records started 20 years ago.
Romania and Bulgaria joined the EU in 2007 and restrictions on citizens of the eastern European nations working in Britain were lifted in January 2014.
There was also a rise in the number of employees from 14 long-term member states including Germany, Italy, Spain and France, from 942,000 to 987,000.
UKIP's Immigration Spokesman John Bickley said: "This latest report from the ONS (Office for National Statistics) shows yet again the sheer ineptitude and untrustworthiness of the Remain 'establishment', which comprises mostly of Parliament, the civil service, CBI and the BBC. How many times have we been told by these so called experts since the EU Referendum in 2016 that EU citizens here in the UK are going homes in their droves. This report shows that nothing could be further from the truth.
"Much of the year-on-year increase has been driven by a rise in the number of Romanians and Bulgarians working in the UK. In the third quarter of this year 347,000 nationals of the two countries were employed in the UK - an increase of 90,000 compared with July-September of 2016.
"Although UKIP remains very concerned that uncontrolled immigration is not in the best interests of the indigenous UK population and our public services, the ONS report shows that the Remain camp no longer has any credibility when it comes to forecasting the impact Brexit will have on the UK. They should crawl back under the rocks they came out from, learn some humility and respect the outcome of the vote to leave the EU, which by definition includes all of its institutions."More Project Fear Scaremongering Is WRONG!

CAIRO — At least nine people were killed when gunmen opened fire on a Coptic Orthodox Church in Cairo on Friday, a church spokesman said, in the latest in a series of attacks on Egypt’s Christian minority.
The assault targeted the Mar Mina Church in the southern Cairo neighborhood of Helwan. At least one gunman was killed by the police, the spokesman, Boules Haliem, said by telephone.
“He did not manage to get in,” Mr. Haliem said of the gunman. Worshipers were attacked as they were leaving the church, he said, and at least eight were killed, along with one police officer. Eight more worshipers and a police officer were wounded.
“The church was full,” Mr. Haliem said. “They were attending Mass.” Photographs showed several bullet holes in the facade of the church.
Two of the wounded were in critical condition, he said.
Coptic Christians make up about 10 percent of Egypt’s population of 96 million. This was not the first deadly assault on Christian worshipers in Cairo, but the capital is not accustomed to this sort of attack on civilians. NY Times.

Australia Finish Strongly In Drawn Test.

As I write, the fourth test is petering out to an inevitable draw. England have played reasonably well but in their second innings, the Aussies have stolen back to some kind of parity.
Again, how many England batsmen have simply gifted away their wickets? (At least in this match, the bowling attack seem to have finally learned how to bowl an appropriate length.)
Disappointing. Even if rain had not intervened on Day Four, I doubt that England would have possessed sufficient firepower to bowl the Aussies out on a very flat pitch and using the wretched Kookaburra ball which is excessively batsmen-friendly.
3 - 0 down after four matches - at least the whitewash has been avoided!
The Aussie success may be almost wholly down to the extravagant form of skipper Steve Smith whose 600+ runs over four matches have been the difference between being better than England - and dominating them!
But then again - when they have three fast bowlers who are regularly bowling in excess of 90mph and we don't - maybe defeat is almost inevitable. England have had to use part-time spinners - the Aussies have got Nathan Lyon - the top wicket-taker in the world in the last year.
England on tour have failed yet again. Using English conditions - you would back Joe Root's side against anyone but away from these shores - they are wretched! I simply dread our next tour to the Indian sub-continent as England can neither bowl spin nor bat against it!

Churches That Are Doomed.

Throughout the nation, there are literally thousands of churches which have aging populations and which are destined to close their doors in the next few years, and let us be honest, they will deserve their fate. They are offering stale manna!
Some are so inward-looking that they do not evangelise outside the building; the expectation of many is that a new banner announcing a beetle drive or similar will have the locals flooding in; some are not faithful to the Gospel; others actually do not welcome new faces and almost all say "this is the way we have always done things - the great numbers of unsaved must adjust to our way of doing things."
Churches are in the firing line and so many are not using 'the full armour of God'.
As someone in the second half of my 60s, these churches are SO stale, that even I would not use one if I had nowhere else to go.
How many operate as cliques?
How may use hymnals that were out of date half a century ago and use music that would bore to death anyone under the age of 55?
How many prepare long, erudite sermons which go over the heads of so many members of their congregations? How many are still using sermons that regularly exceed 15 - 20 minutes - which in this day of low concentration spans - are probably far too long, in any case?
How many have already passed the point of no return because they have not seriously reached out to youth over the last three or four decades?
If the members of these churches expect God to suddenly bring them hordes of new people - they are doomed to disappointment. This is especially the case when they haven't seen a single convert through their own ministry in their last twenty years of operation! How many actively sideline God's Holy Spirit?
Fresh manna is the only way forward.
Reaching out to the community has to be an active, prayer-backed campaign.
Many churches are succeeding, however. These old-fashioned institutions must inevitably perish.

Faith Is The Requisite.

Stalin & The Occult.

Joseph Stalin's occult knowledge and experiments

Joseph Stalin's occult knowledge and experiments. 44721.jpegThe occult background of the Soviet rule has been discussed no less than the legendary occult of the Third Reich. What role has Joseph Stalin, who ruled the country of "victorious socialism" for nearly 30 years, played in it? Was he an ordinary tyrant, or did he have the unknown forces behind him? Unfortunately, we only have some random facts at our disposal.
It is known, for example, that Stalin attended Tiflis Theological Seminary, along with the future famous magician, philosopher and occultist Georgi Gurdjieff, and at one time was friends with him. There is also a theory that Joseph Dzhugashvili was a part of some kind of an occult "eastern brotherhood" that consisted of Gurdjieff and his followers.
The sources talking about Gurdjieff mention a mysterious figure, prince Nizharadze. This was a pseudonym of the man whose essence was replaced on an energetic level, which turned him into a zombie. Gurdjieff describes an expedition to the Persian Gulf, whose members included him and Prince Nizharadze. He mentions that the "prince" on the way fell ill with fever, which made the travelers stay for a month in Baghdad. It is known that in 1899-1900 Dzhugashvili worked in Tiflis geophysical laboratory, so in theory he could have taken part in this expedition. The leader's face was covered with pockmarks - could it be a side effect of the "Persian" fever?
The party leader's nickname - Koba - also raises some questions. Translated from Old Slavic Church, it means "sorcerer" or "prophet." This was the name of the Persian king Kobadesa, who at the end of the 5th century conquered Eastern Georgia. Byzantine historian Theophanes says Kobades was a great magician and head of the sect with the ideals close to those of the communism, for example, division of property into equal parts to eliminate rich and poor.
In the Stalin's era the state security services created an entire department dedicated to the search for the signs of extraterrestrial civilizations and ancient cultures. The Bolsheviks needed knowledge and technology that could make their power invincible.

Christian minorities in Egypt prepare for Christmas with 'resilience'

Egypt's Christian minorities are preparing for Christmas with "resilience" after a year of unprecedented violence, the UK's most senior Coptic bishop has said.
Thousands of extra police and security personnel have been ordered to be on guard over the holiday as part of an ongoing effort to crack down on terrorist attacks, the Egyptian Ministry of the Interior announced last week.
Some 230,000 officers will now protect about 3,000 churches across the country as Christians come together to celebrate the annual festivities.
Archbishop Angaelos of London (pictured above, holding a black stick) said despite becoming accustomed to violent attacks, Christians' commitment to worship has had the "opposite effect" to that intended by Islamic State and other terrorist groups.
"It was the same effect when we had the churches bombed and attacked in 2013, the same effect as the Libya martyrs when they were killed on everyone's screens in 2015," he said.
"It has had the exact opposite effect, where people still very faithfully go to their churches."
Since December last year, 137 people have died in Egypt as a result of more than 70 separate attacks against the Christian community there, according to the US-based Eshhad Centre For The Protection of Minorities.
Eshhad calculates that attacks on Christians accounted for about 89% of all attacks against religious minorities in Egypt over the past year, 17 of which were committed by Islamic State or its north African affiliate, Wilayat Sinai. Premier Christianity.

Cook And Broad Put England In The Driving Seat.

A masterful 244 not out from Alastair Cook has put England in total command of the 4th test - and they still have one wicket in hand.
Surely - even England cannot drag defeat from the jaws of victory as they languish three games to nil down and with the Ashes already lost.
At the very worst, the Aussie march should be halted with a draw as England have what seems an unassailable lead of 164.

The Wisdom Of John Donne.

'Love, all alike, no season knows nor clime, Nor hours, days, months, which are the rags of time.' Donne uses this phrase in one of his sermons

Peter Hitchens On Christmas.

And so we come from that brief truce called Christmas. I still love it, despite everything.
I would cheerfully reintroduce transportation for life for the Albanians and their beat-box on the high street, on their 43rd rendition of Jingle Bells so far today.
The Queen’s Christmas broadcast sometimes comes close to converting me to republicanism. I am stonily unmoved by John Lewis Yuletide filmlets. But each year I live, the idea that the creator of the universe appeared among us as a defenceless newborn baby demanding nothing from us but love grows more and more true and persuasive.
Isn’t this, in fact, exactly how our lives are changed, over and over and over again?
Happy Christmas, and many thanks to all those who have sent me kind Christmas wishes.

Awesome England Bowling In Fourth Test.

At last, we have seen a mighty bowling display by England with both Anderson and Broad back to form and using the conditions effectively.
In just two and a half hours, the England attack cleared up SEVEN Aussie wickets. Excellent stuff with great support from Woakes and excitement for Tom Curran, with his first test wicket being the best batsman in the world - the Australian captain, Steve Smith. A day to remember for the rest of his life.
327 on the scoreboard was something of a relief for England - the Aussies will have been hoping to have been rather closer to 500.

Mosul Christmas.

Sadness and joy: Christians in Mosul celebrate first Christmas since Isil's defeat.

AA church in Mosul has hosted the first Christmas service since the city was liberated from Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (Isil).
Saint Paul’s Church in east Mosul celebrated Christmas mass on Sunday amid tight security.
At least 100 Christians were in attendance, with a large number of Muslims coming to support their friends and neighbours.
Christians in the congregation spoke of the need to stake a place for Christians in the city's future after three years of persecution by the radical Islamists.
“Our faith and our hope was to be here to evangelise on our earth and in our town,” says Father Thabet Habib “ This pushed us to come here and to celebrate the mass and to tell all the world that we are here as Christians.”

Cataluña. (Let's Spell It Correctly Just This Once, Eh?)

  1. Rajoy speaks of the rule of law over Cataluña, but that principle cannot trump the right to self-determination, a right embedded in the UN Charter. Puigdemont should publicly ask Rajoy how - respecting Spanish law - he proposes that right might be exercised and the issue decided.
  2. Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy came across today as inflexible, arrogant, and petulant over the results. Rajoy's party - under proportional representation - took just 3 seats out of 135. His attitude risks pushing the Catalan people even further away.

CPS Contributes To England Losing The Ashes?

WHY has no decision been taken on the prosecution or otherwise of key England player, Ben Stokes?
Involved in 'an incident', way back in September - there has STILL been no decision made. This left the player - and England who suspended him - in total limbo.

Too Much Silly Pessimism Over Brexit!

We were WRONG! Doom-mongers finally admit to being TOO gloomy on Brexit in major U-turn

INTERNATIONAL economic forecasters admit they were “too pessimistic” about the immediate impact of Brexit on Britain and the world. The experts said the effects on the UK have been less than feared and we will bounce back in economic league tables inside two years.

But emerging powerhouses will make strong challenges in the 2020s, with China expected to overtake the US at No1 and Britain and France left behind by India and Brazil.
The findings come in the ninth edition of the annual World Economic League Table, which analyses the likely performance of 192 nations over the next 15 years.
The research, compiled by the Centre for Economics and Business Research in partnership with Global Construction Perspectives, predicted technology and cheap energy will now drive a stronger period of growth.

DISGUSTING!

Mrs May’s EU Vassal State.

How much humiliation can Mrs May and Mr Davis take at the hands of our European Union (EU) overlords? When will the pain threshold get exceeded and the reality of the EU’s superior machinations kick in?
It is now so obvious that the United Kingdom is to be made the latest example of what happens when the power of the EU’s rigid, self-interested, bureaucratic, and political machine is defied; it cannot be bargained with or changed, just obeyed.  And worse, Mrs May through her mistakes and Mr Davis through his slothful ignorance, has not just allowed it to happen but made the EU’s worst excesses unavoidable.
Mrs May’s ‘deep and special relationship with our EU partners’ after 29thMarch 2019 amounts to being a vassal state to the Treaty of Rome (EU) Empire just as around 2000 years ago Judea under King Herod (the Great) was of the Roman Empire; until they took over completely. What has gone so disastrously wrong?
In January this year Mrs May in her Lancaster House speech ruled out continuing membership of the Single Market (and European Economic Area, EEA aka Internal Market). Continuing membership is possible through membership of EFTA (The European Free Trade Association).  All the UK has to do is join or rather re-join, assuming the existing EFTA members would have us back.  And, better still this route provides the ability to limit immigration through unilaterally invoking Article 112 (the Safeguard Measures) of the EEA Agreement.
The EFTA route to EEA membership does give members outside the EU a say in EU legislation affecting the EEA, is largely free (although ‘voluntarily’ Norway does contribute to regional development funds) and is outside the jurisdiction of the European Court of Justice (ECJ). The EEA Acquisor body of law is about a quarter of the total EU Acquis since it only relates to the successful functioning of the EEA. And EFTA members make their own trade agreements with other countries.
Membership of the EEA solves the problem of maintaining a soft border in Ireland between the Irish Republic and Northern Ireland.  It is EEA membership that allows seamless trade since regulatory measures are the same for each side, whereas being a ‘third country’ outside the EEA brings a hard (often protectionist) border with the EU of controls, tariffs, inspections etc.
Mrs May rejected even temporary EFTA/EEA membership (for reasons that have never been stated) and now in order to get a transitional agreement (to buy time to negotiate a free trade agreement) she will have to agree to a far worse situation on offer from the EU (see European Council (Art. 50) meeting (15 December 2017) – Guidelines). For two or more years (subject to EU agreement) we will continue to be subject to the full EU acquis, pay into the EU budget, accept freedom of movement, be unable to make our own trade agreements with other countries, and accept the overall jurisdiction of the ECJ.
It gets worse. During this transitional time (after 29th March 2019) the UK would have to accept unconditionally any new additional or amended laws and costs the EU wants to impose. All whilst actually being excluded from any decision making – all pay with no say.
Getting this transitional agreement from the EU is not a foregone conclusion and Mrs May has already had to fall into line to get this far. She has had to agree to the EU’s methodology for working out outstanding financial liabilities, the ECJ creating a different (potentially privileged) legal status for EU citizens here, and the Irish border being effectively an internal EEA border; though she may not yet realise that is the only workable solution for a soft border. There is nothing to stop the EU imposing further demands for accepting a transitional agreement or during implementation whilst we remain a vassal state, for example, retaining the Common Fisheries Policy, participation in the emerging EU Army and its common procurement (concealed under the initials PESCO), implementing centrally imposed migrant quotas and paying EU imposed fines.
Mrs May’s recent Brussels‘ triumph’ is more likely a poisoned chalice where there is little incentive for the EU to be accommodating or to hurry up with a free trade agreement.  Such discussions are very much on the EU back burner until after we become a vassal state (aka leave the EU in name only on 29th March 2019). Mr Davis talks about having a FTA settled before we leave the EU and Mrs May talks about its implementation period, this isn’t going to happen, as explained above and by the EU’s Trade Commissionerback in 2016.  Even if they believe what they are saying wishful thinking and mantras won’t make it come true.
Looking at the bigger picture, progress so far by Mrs May, our EU negotiators and the Department for (Not) Exiting the European Union in managing Brexit has been lamentable and cavalier towards managing risk. The recent Joint (progress)Report, (and EU Commission Communication) containing contradictions, fudge, and weasel words to appease all interested parties, amounts to 15 pages. Although not legally binding it is likely to become politically binding upon Mrs May, contradictions and all. Then there are the 58 non-existent sector-by-sector impact assessmentswhich Mr Davis claimed existed. How can the best route out of the EU be selected when those doing the selecting haven’t a clue what could go wrong or even how anything works? Here are impressively informative sector-by-sector assessments on Eureferendum.com.
Predicting the future is fraught with imponderables and the potential for unforeseen events completely changing outcomes.  So in the end, things could be fine. However, judging by experience to date this looks increasingly unlikely. Mrs May won’t abandon her single-minded rejection of the Single Market and EEA/EFTA, whatever impossible contradictions appear; perhaps she doesn’t know enough yet to understand practicalities. Mr Davis will keep on talking up imaginary progress towards a free trade agreement whilst getting nowhere and making regular, very public gaffs that undermine the credibility of Brexit negotiations.
The question remains unanswered, perhaps because nobody has asked it yet – why put all your efforts, concessions and kowtowing into negotiating a complex transitional agreement, which could end up lasting a long time, when a far better (or less damaging) simple solution exists called EFTA/EEA (permanent or even temporary) membership?  You rejected it once, now you are leading us into a worse mess all round until who knows when, why? UkipDaily.
