Archer Fish.

A species of fish that has a killer aim uses physics to hunt for its prey, according to scientists.
Archerfish lurk under the surface of water before spitting to hit unsuspecting insects that have landed nearby, which when hit, plummet to their death to provide the fish with food.
Research has shown that the animal is able to instinctively take into account light refraction and other physics principles such as the Plateau–Rayleigh instability to be one of the most accurate hunters in the natural world. Mail.
So. When this is an 'extra facility' - over and above the normal food-gathering of the archer fish and is no way 'needed' - this phenomenon cannot be explained by the usual attempts of evolutionists. Or maybe as they grow up, at the teen stage, they all start to develop severely anti-social habits. |

Wakey, Wakey!

THE letters from Ann Dawson and David Wright (Yorkshire Post, November 19) pinpointed the grave concerns of so many in the future of our country.
The mass immigration allowed by the previous government has changed England forever and with birth rates almost double the indigenous population, the face of Britain will change.
It was Tony Blair’s open intention to presume these people would vote for Labour and therefore keep them in power.
Our eventual crawl back to reasonable finances will be achieved but the effect of Blair’s tactics on immigration are here forever.
Our continued stupidity with European human rights laws allows so many to benefit from our ‘open house’ policy and we should never have allowed exceptions to the law, eg cutting the throats of livestock without stunning, not wearing motorcycle helmets with turbans, using mobile phones whilst driving (the initial size of phones was like small bricks), and many others.
If we travel to other countries we abide by their laws and customs, so why don’t we enforce/expect it in this country? “When in Rome do as the Romans do.” When in England do as you like!

Richard The Third: It Made ME Smile!

I see the question of Richard III is once again raising its head, no pun intended, so may I suggest this simple and cost effective solution?
All we need to do is to take a lead from the EU and bury him in York or Leicester, then dig him up every six months and move him to the alternate venue.
No doubt there would be a grant for this.

to ban a radio advert asking Christians to report if they have experienced
discrimination in the workplace.
The decision has prompted bewildered response from Christians, who see no good reason for the decision. The wording of the advert was:
“We are CCP. Surveys have shown that over 60% of active Christians are being increasingly marginalised in the workplace. We are concerned to get the most accurate data to inform the public debate. We will then use this data to help a fairer society. Please visit CCP magazines.co.uk and report your experiences.”
The Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport originally banned the advert after the Radio Advertising Clearance Centre [RACC] claimed that it had a political objective. Master of the Rolls Lord Dyson agreed the advert was unlawful, saying it was “directed to the political end of making a fairer society by reducing or eliminating the marginalisation of Christians in the workplace.”

“It’s startling that such an innocuous ad, set to be broadcast on a
Christian radio station, should be deemed unlawful. It’s clearly an attempt to
gain information for the laudable aim of creating a fairer society. There is no
attempt in the advert to persuade anyone to adopt a particular political
position.
“The court’s decision is chilling, as well as bewildering. We have seen
Christian adverts being banned in other areas whilst those of other special
