People are people.

One thing that this Far Eastern tour has shown is the similarities between all members of the human race.
We all struggle to do our best for our selves and our families and some have a pretty poor starting point.
God loves us all!
Let this be a reminder to those who who are unable to distinguish between being opposed to immigration - and those terminally sad people who are anti-imigrant!

No, communism really is dying.

It is extremely doubtful that communism can possibly survive beyond Fidel Castro in Cuba.
I have already written recently as to how China's version is seemingly doomed.
Having now visited both Nha Trang and Saigon, I feel that the signs are plentiful that Vietnam is taking the same route.
Communism is an artificial construct which cannot succeed as it is based on an optimistic view of mankind in direct contradiction to the teaching of The Scriptures.

Losers.

I recently watched a simply dreadful, atheistic-based film called 'The Invention of Lying'.
It decided to mock the idea that there may be a God and deride all belief. It had the intellectual integrity of a piece of filming done by a mentally incompetent, troublemaking member of a low grade 'A' Level English Literature group.

It had one idea and worked it painfully to death.

LAMENTABLE!

Ricky Gervais - hang your head in shame.

Industrial tribunals.

Industrial tribunals are so often a threat to democracy, justice and basic fairness. That one such should dare to endorse the sacking of an individual for continuing to wear the Christian cross that she has done for years is an affront!
The UK is really going down the toilet and the LibLabCon must shoulder all of the blame. It is not just Labour!

I have decided not to ....

The Singaporean government has informed me that they are likely to execute me should I carry any drugs into their nation.
For reasons too obvious to mention, I shall therefore not be doing so!

Political Correctness: what is it for?

Political correctness is not a mere aberration, nor is it an attempt to improve society.
It has a double function: to supplant decent, Christian behaviour and to operate a system of mind control through a form of self-regulating propaganda.

Moving leftwards?

I have long thought that 'Dave' Cameron has made a giant mistake in moving his party so far leftward and could have won an election without this - especially when competing in such a crowded ground there in the left of centre clutter.
On school of thought is that he has had to do this - not for any political reasons at all but merely that without this, he would have been fighting against the entire media as well.

That may or may not prove true.

I am taking a risk but I shall predict a straight tory win on the basis that the opinion polls ALWAYS overestimate how many people will turn out and vote Labour.

A contrast.

A simple question. Where would I prefer to live - The People's Republic of China or Taiwan?
Having now seen both, I am able to be a little more objective.
This is a simple contrast between capitalism and communism.

Capitalism wins hands down!

Happy Easter.

Hallelujah! He is RISEN!

He is risen indeed!
Greetings from The East China Sea.

Shanghai: communism is dying.

I never really had realised how advanced the decline of Chinese communism had become. A visit to capitalist Shanghai is all it takes to recognise that this once great force for world evil is now dying.
Capitalism may not be wonderful but at least it works.

Nuclear? - Oh, yes!

If ever I had doubted the wisdom of embracing nuclear power, all it has taken is one visit to filthy-aired China to convince me that this is the only way to go!
Furthermore, NOTHING we are doing in the West to keep the atmosphere cleaner is worth a farthing when compared to what the People's Republic is spewing out hourly!

Tort reform.

In the USA they call it 'tort reform'. We have no words for this expression which means to 'push back 'the power of the litigious society' in which we live.
Talking to an American banker today, he clearly thought this to be vitally important.
Which party other than UKIP in the UK would agree with him?
My idea of a 'Law of Common Sense' to which all other legal decisions would be accountable, seemed to appeal to him.

When communists are wrong!

Mao was personally responsible for the massive increase in birthrates. (No. Not like that!)
He demanded massive families which brought about the iniquitous 'one child only' policy which has led to mass abandonments of children, cruelty in orphanages and abortions by the tens of millions.

9 million?

9 million bicycles in Beijing?
I seriously doubt that!

Our road system.

Well. I drove to London late last night expecting a doddle of a drive. I was soon disabused of that thought!
I left the potholes of Sheffield into the incessant roadworks of the M1 and the M25.
50 mph limits for a large portion of the journey; SINGLE lane on the motorways everywhere.
If we had seen more than one group actually working, I might have been considerably happier.

Care.

I think what bothers me most about modern society is that everybody seems to care about the mess we're in - but not enough to do anything about it!
The other name for this is
apathy!

Uh,oh!

"Ukraine's new pro-Russia prime minister, Mykola Azarov, has enraged feminist groups by suggesting that women are unsuitable for high political office and incapable of carrying out reforms."
The Guardian.

Who cares about what 'feminists' think anyway? But back in the real world, wouldn't you have just loved to have seen this bloke explaining his pet theory to Maggie when she was at the height of her powers?
After all this time his 'handbagging' injuries would probably have healed nicely by now!
(Mind you, in all fairness to this rampant sexist, one look at Harridan Harperson and you do begin to wonder if he may have some sort of point. If that is the best Labour can produce......)
To all the very NORMAL ladies out there, apologies that your talents are brought into question!

Erratic postings.

As explained in an earlier posting, I am unable to guarantee updating the Blog every day for the next three weeks or so, commencing today.
I shall endeavour to ensure that not too many days are missed.

Ice in that?

'Strong winds and not global warming are to blame for much of the record-breaking loss of ice in the Arctic Ocean in recent years, new research reveals. Ice blown out of the Arctic area by winds can explain the one-third drop of sea ice since 1979, scientists believe.
The study helps to explain the huge loss of ice in the region during the summers of 2007 and 2008, after which some commentators suggested the Arctic Ocean would be ice-free during the summertime within a decade.'

When even top metereologists such as Paul Hudson admit that there has been no temperature rise globally in the last ten years, it was obvious that 'the warming factor' had to be something other than mere temperature!

Cynical!

'Gipsies and travellers who break the law should not get favours from authority, ministers declared yesterday.
They warned that public confidence in justice will be damaged if some people think that travellers get special treatment.
Two Cabinet ministers joined forces to launch new instructions for police and councils on enforcing the law on anti-social behaviour among travellers - an apparent U-turn after years in which gipsies have been considered a racial group in need of state help.'

Just how CYNICAL and dishonest can you get in the runup to a General Election?
