Family 'destroyed': Christian parents reveal the story behind their sons' removal. A Christian couple, whose two adopted sons were removed by social workers, will now have their case reopened.

The parents' appeal was heard this morning at the Royal Courts of Justice. Lady Justice King and Lord Justice Simon have allowed the appeal and have ordered a retrial of the case.

Dear Editor,
Labour MP David Lammy appeared on the BBC today and stated that a million people died fighting for the “European Project” in WW2.
I would like to make something clear to the Labour Party: Britain and our allies did not fight WW2 in the name of the EU, the EEC, the Euro or even the Council of Europe. Millions of British citizens and our allies lost their lives so that we could defeat an evil Dictator and those who supported him. This should never be forgotten or rewritten.
In recent times the Labour Party has had a worrying attitude towards our armed forces and the defence of the United Kingdom and British Citizens. It is clear that there are tensions in the Labour Party – but I am not going to sit quietly and listen while Labour MPs rewrite the history of WW2 to fit current Labour Party policies. Any politician who attempts this should be ashamed of themselves.

In 1994 the UN debated the genocide in Rwanda and whether or not the International Community should intervene to prevent the escalating murder there.


Despite hearing evidence of the mass murder of one of the ethnic tribes (the Tutsis) by another (the Hutus), the UN deliberately avoided labelling the slaughter as “genocide”.



As a result, they avoided their obligation to protect the Tutsis, and the genocide continued until a local military force put a stop to it. During this time, up to 1 million people were killed.



We can never let this happen again. We cannot let the UN and the EU grossly neglect their responsibilities, while quibbling over the use of a word.

Twenty years ago, Christians represented 20% of the Iraqi population. Since then, most of them have been chased away by the attacks. There are simply no Christians left in Mosul, and, for many years, the few remaining Christians in the country have become subject to frequent murderous assaults.

And this is precisely why the High Representative of the European Union, Fréderica Mogherini, recently refused to use the term genocide. Because, by officially recognising that what is happening in the Middle East is, in fact, a genocide, the EU and UN would be forced to act in a concrete way.

Recognition of the genocide is a fundamental step in ensuring that the international community acts. Some Governments and Parliaments, such as Lithuania's, have already recognised this genocide.
The time has come for the institutions of the EU and the United Nations to do the same.
The EU Parliament will vote on this matter on 3rd February, in only a few short days. And then, the European Council for Human Rights will meet in March on this issue.
