I really like the DRS system in Test Cricket. Anything which produces greater accuracy in decison-making is to be welcomed. However, yesterday we saw Trott given out because England chose not to make a review. His LBW decision was a catastrophically bad one. My question is why the third umpire was not allowed to intervene?
Secondly, KP was given out as the electronics deemed that 2mms of the ball would have scraped the outside of the stump. The technology simply cannot be that good.
The system itself is excellent - but as it is at the moment, it is utterly destroying batsmanship. 'Tweaking' to the rules is essential.
