Many of the ‘best’ judges at the European Court of Human Rights have no judicial experience, its president admitted yesterday.
In a rare appearance at Westminster, Sir Nicolas Bratza came under fire from MPs over a string of controversial judgments, including the blocking of the deportation of hate preacher Abu Qatada and a ruling that prisoners should be given the vote.
MPs also attacked the extraordinary selection system for the court, which allows the 47 member states to nominate judges who have never sat in judgment in their own countries.
At least as a lay magistrate I had been TRAINED! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2114652/Euro-judges-judicial-experience--admits-head-court-said-Qatada-stay-UK.html#ixzz1p4MIFbih
Self explanatory title. I abhor that nicey nicey, politically correct, pseudo-Christianity which almost always supports leftwing attitudes - which in most cases are profoundly anti-Gospel. This Blog supports persecuted Christians. This Blog exposes cults. This Blog opposes junk science. UPDATED DAILY. This is not a forum. This Blog supports truly Christian websites and aids their efforts. It is hardhitting and unashamedly evangelical so if it offends - please do not come to this site!
