Starbucks Learning - At Last!

'Starbucks is to increase the strength of its coffee in the UK in a bid to counter claims its drinks are weak and milky.
The company has invested millions in what it calls the ‘British Latte’ to meet growing taste for stronger coffee.' (Mail.)
Starbucks coffee is tasteless slop and this reaction is long overdue! Having recently returned from Madrid - I was treated to a quality coffee in every one of the many establishments I visited in a desperate search for quality caffeine.
In France it is difficult to buy poor coffee and in Germany not too easy either.
The UK apart, the worst country I've visited for coffee was the USA. (Maybe it's just a Californian thing - dunno!)
Italy - for all the hype - was so very poor that in the North near Lake Como I had one decent coffee in a week's stay and that was in a paper cup at Bergamo airport. (T'was also the cheapest of the week by a large margin.)
Once you have been 'trained' into high quality, continental coffees - it is really hard to easily accept the fourth rate stuff served in Starbucks and similar franchises.
Best US coffee you want to know? - Vegas, Macdonalds and that hit the dizzy heights of third rate!
Decent coffee is important to me since I first discovered its delights on a school exchange visit to Montélimar back in the 60s when 'real' coffee was unknown to us Britproles in those days and our powdered coffee came in a tin!
