Consider how very difficult it is for a Christian minister performing the funeral of a non-believer.
You cannot say that the deceased is in heaven - so you have to lamely comment on the 'mercy of God' - when you are pretty sure that the person who has passed away has not accessed that 'mercy'.
I do not think I would be able to do it.
