After decades of fierce opposition to the use of all contraception, the Pontiff has ended the Church’s absolute ban on the use of condoms.
He said it was acceptable to use a prophylactic when the sole intention was to “reduce the risk of infection” from Aids.
It has long been clear that the papacy would eventually remove its ban on contraception - BUT THIS????
The AIDS issue is absurd. How few people under the influence of the RC Church who are having marital sex will this apply to?
Correct! - It will apply principally to those who are entertaining promiscuous lifestyles!
Talk about bowing to unholy pressure: talk about lame compromise: talk about disingenuous copouts!
The anti-contraception issue is quite another matter.
(The RC Church's fundamental attitude is so wrong that, just for once, I shan't even bother to explain!)
