'Removing Fear' Is Not All That It Is Cracked Up To Be.

When Bevin, Attlee, Bevan, Cripps, Beveridge and co helped create the welfare state, they wanted to remove fear from society.
How reasonable that must have seemed at the time. How wonderful that ill-health and unemployment and old age should not be something to fear.
AND QUITE RIGHT TOO!
I should imagine that today however, all of these honourable gents would have been horrified to see the extent to which their 'baby' has been abused.
They had made no allowance for the shysters, wasters and mountebanks who form such a broad seam throughout our present society.

Many Thanks GB News.
