'Can't Stick At Anything.'

Last night, a friend and I debated the state of the nation and concluded that our society has become behaviourally flabby.
Far too many members of our western world are totally passive and wait for things to happen for them.
If these do not occur - then government is blamed.
When wrong decisions are made in everything from taking out a loan to getting married - there is an expectancy that there has to be an easy way out if matters turn even a little pear-shaped!
This is undermining life in the UK and is in complete contrast to the world into which I was born.
Welfare dependency is one more aspect of this.
