Romanian's Sentence Wholly Inappropriate.

Adrian Udrea raped an 81 year old in her bed, in Felixstowe, in sheltered accommodation and stole her jewellery. This low-life received a wretchedly inadequate 16 year sentence. It is improbable that the 39 year old will even serve ten years of that. I would have thought that the sentence for a crime so heinous should have been doubled! No doubt that his 'timely guilty plea' had made a significant difference to the sentence which would otherwise have been 24 years. In crimes like this, to remove a third of the sentence and know that he will still get at least the same again off the 16 years for 'good behaviour inside' is unacceptable in a civilised society.
