George Eustice, Conservative MP and leading member of the Fresh Start group quotes Open Europe’s report in a comment piece in today’s Guardian. He argues “We can do better than just leave the EU. With the right approach we could change it…We should argue for a new model for Europe where there is an inner core- the single market in goods and services that all member states sign up to because they benefit from it. Then there should be a broader sphere of policy areas…that are far more optional. This would allow the EU to adapt and give up powers where the rationale for taking decisions at the EU level has ended”.Open Europe research Guardian: Eustice Guardian
But just WHO could you possibly trust to negotiate this without a 60% sellout and compromises and 'ground surrendered' etc?
