Writing in The Telegraph this week, Philip Johnston criticises the government's counter-extremism proposals. He says that the government's definition of extremism is "so widely drawn that it will inevitably ensnare the wrong people." He highlights opposing same-sex 'marriage' as one issue which is likely to lead to people being wrongly "arraigned under the law," pointing out that what was once a mainstream view is "now considered hateful and potentially criminal."
