Archbishop of Canterbury has apologised to the 'gay and lesbian community' for the 'hurt and pain' still being caused by the church.
Hmm. Perhaps Justin Welby would care to apologise to all people who have spat - or are continuing to spit - into the face of God? How about: thieves, adulterers, murderers and assorted sinners, for a start?(I had thought originally that this man was supposed to be an evangelical - how wrong can you get?)
Do not get me wrong. I am a wretched and persistent sinner too! I do far too much which is not within the will of God but eventually, I get to a point where I rely on the grace of God through my REPENTANCE.
No leader of a church may ever tell sinners that repentance is unnecessary and still remain fit for office.
When did Jesus EVER apologise to sinners in such a manner?
