England Muddle Through To 4 Wicket Win In the 2nd ODI Against Ireland.

The England bowling was adequate, the batting less so.
Chasing a target of only 213 for victory in their 50 overs, some of the batting was execrable.
Jason Roy out for a duck and skipper Morgan, likewise, should both feel ashamed but brickbats must be offered to Moeen Ali whose dismissal was wretched. (Also a duck.)
As he came to the crease, I said to Mrs Blogger that he will surely have learned not to hook the ball upwards towards long leg.
I was horrified to see him again surrender his wicket in this fashion for the umpteenth time in recent seasons. His bowling was as mediocre as Rashid's was exciting.

A further downside was that James Vince flattered to deceive - as ever - and we are yet to see Banton 'come of age'.

The test players who also double up in this form of cricket will walk back into this team with zero problems.

I am delighted to see Sam Billings finally beginning to look like a proper international batsman.

MOTM was surely wicket keeper Jonny Bairstow whose blitz in the early overs was truly memorable.
