A group of left-wingers has sparked fury after saying the people on board the missing Titanic sub should die because they’re rich. While thousands have sent their thoughts and prayers to the missing crew, others have criticised their decision to visit the famous wreck. Aboard the missing submersible known as Titan are a father and son from Britain as well as a submariner nicknamed 'Mr Titanic'.

The group’s criticism originates on Twitter, one user wrote: “These idiots paid 250 thousand dollars to enter a submarine without GPS or any safety instrument and guided by a Logitech joystick to see the Titanic and now they can die because they are lost in the Atlantic Ocean[sic].”

Another user said: “The problem with dying on the Titanic submarine is that it’s such a funny way to go out.

“You paid a quarter of a million dollars to be a funny Wikipedia article in 20 years. You die & become a goofy fact.”
