In the local elections, Reform UK has inflicted inestimable damage onto the Tories. Well done guys!
The Tories MUST learn that if they are not a party of the people - then they are nothing. Their arrogance is being fully rewarded.
No. I do not want Starmer in office - he is abject but we must consider the long-term.
I am delighted to see that Reform UK has ruled out any electoral pact with the Tories - yet. This is not the time. The Tories must take their hammering and stop having 'wets' in winnable seats in the General Election after next.
When the time comes for the two parties to join together - the Tories must learn that every true blue Tory will have no opposition from Reform - every 'wet' will have a Reform candidate to ensure that they cannot possibly win! Negotiations would inevitably follow where Tories would have to swallow pride and step down in - say 150 seats - and their people would support Reform candidates.
I am not even sure that the coming defeat will be enough to get the Tories out of their torpor. However, if Nigel enters the fray after their mega thrashing - the seeds will have been sown for a centre right government.
Should the Tory rump try to muddle through - leaving us with the harrowing prospect of back-to-back Labour administrations - disaster awaits.
The hard right will suddenly make an appearance. Look at the EU nations. You have been warned!
