THE Conservative MP for the Colne Valley in Yorkshire asked the Prime Minister why the fuel for the charitably-run Yorkshire Air Ambulance is subject to VAT, whereas the charitably-run RNLI Lifeboats are not (Yorkshire Post, May 5)
The MP had helped supporters of Huddersfield Town AFC to raise £8,000 to assist in the funding of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance – a truly splendid effort. The Prime Minister blamed EU law. Here is yet another very valid reason why this country should leave the EU immediately, and allow us to run our own nation as we once did before membership of this atrocious organisation.
