Why do you hide yourself in times of trouble?
Every born again Christian experiences the real closeness of God but there also times when God seems distant. These tend to be those times when: we pray less; we are outside of God's will; when God is trying to draw us closer to him; when the busyness of life pushes God aside; when our selfishness is in evidence; when sin is unrepented.
If you find yourself in such a desert - examine your heart and I think you may well find that you already possess the solution as deep inside - you actually know why 'the heavens are as brass'.
