Too many people tell me that they only use a single supermarket each week 'for the convenience'.
Well - thanks a bunch!
That is one of the main reasons why grocery prices are soaring. I rotate my shopping between ASDA, Morrisons and Lidls with occasional visits to other supermarkets.
Unless there is a cartel principle in operation - this would stop the supermarkets in their tracks and there are ways and means of dealing with cartels in any case.
Not only do you save a considerable amount of money annually you will see more bargains, more competition and fewer price rises. Stop buying the products where prices remain the same but contents 'shrink'. Shoppers have the power to be a 'tail wagging the great canine'.Take the hundreds you inevitably save and then calculate this as a gross figure, pre-tax and pre-imposition of NI.
Few families would save less than a thousand pounds over a year!
It is not even difficult. Just plan the shopping trips, think and make an effort to remember prices.
Do this en masse and the consumer will win and BIG STYLE!
