We are told that 'Hitler helped the Nationalists ergo, it was they who must have been wrong.
Why are we seldom told then that STALIN helped the Republicans not to mention stealing all of Spain's gold reserves?
Are we ever told that before the war was forced onto the Nationalists - Republicans had murdered THOUSANDS of Roman Catholic Priests and dozens of bishops?
The International Brigade as heroes? - Not in my view!
The Republicans started as roughly democratic and abandoned this with persecution of the classes and groups of whom they disapproved. They moved towards anarchism and marxism.
The Nationalists responded with their brand of non-democratic political rule known as falangism.
Rights and wrongs? Good v bad? Democracy opposed to extremism? - HARDLY!
Republicans or Nationalists? Well, would you rather be gassed or beheaded? - Not the best of choices, really! Innit?
