Best Before.

I am so relieved that some common sense is finally coming into food labelling.
I know that a great many people are almost obsessed by 'sell by dates', 'Best Befores' et al.
In World War Two my Dad ate 'bully beef' canned in 1918 - left over from World War One.
I have always ignored these dates. Making food 'too perfect' is no help whatsoever to the immune system. When I was young we learned to use our eyes and noses. I am as convinced as I can be that I have never suffered from eating out of date food.
This iniquitous labelling has caused the throwing out of £12 billion of edible foodstuffs annually. The ramifications from this just do your 'ed in!
