Equipping Christians to love Muslim neighbours.

The National Co-ordinator of the Mahabba Network, Gordon Hickson (pictured), was amongst those attending Tuesday's Safe Haven launch. Tracing its origins back to 2005, Mahabba exists to 'motivate and mobilise ordinary Christians to love their Muslim neighbours in word and deed, and to help churches to mentor and multiply dynamic communities of disciples.'

Mahabba, which means 'love' in Arabic, seeks to help Christians  'face the facts' about the growth of the Muslim community in the  UK whilst not 'fuelling the fear' but instead reaching out to Muslim  neighbours with truth and in love. The network recognises the need both to confront the reality of  Islamisation in the UK and overseas and to welcome and reach  out to Muslims in love.
