2nd ODI v Pakistan.

The first ODI was washed out but the second was a thriller with England recording a 12 run victory in the final over of the 100 bowled at the Aegeas Bowl, Southampton..

Well done to both sides - especially to Jos Buttler for his phenomenal century in a mere 50 balls!

My complaints were against the ball used and the pitch.

The Kookaburra ball should be banned from cricket as it gives the minimum of assistance to bowlers - and then, only for extremely short periods of time. (Note that there is so very little seam on the ball.)

The pitch was described as a 'belter' - but that simply means that it favours the batsmen and leaves the bowlers with next to nothing to work with.

Cricket should not be about runfests but about balance between bat and ball!
