Paying The Price For Being Wishy-Washy.

Several years ago, there was an excellent letter in the Yorkshire Post from someone who was clearly not a Christian.
He pointed out that the whole 'gay issue' had become so contentious because of weaknesses on other matters in assorted churches.
So many have/had simply ignored the sanctity of marriage; easy divorce; failed to stand up to those 'living in sin' and had sidestepped issues of fornication in the interests of either cowardice or inclusivity.
The point was that a Church which had lost the moral high ground on sexual conduct was in no authoritative position to say a single thing against the practice of homosexuality.
With none of these sins being any better or worse than any other - what a slap in the face this letter was.
When you fail to adhere to Christian teaching - do not be surprised when it all comes back to bite you.
